well the point is you can have more than 1 quote at a time instead of having just that one.

You could like Quote me saying Go fuck a pike or something and yet it would be possible to quote it.

Really did not like the ending, and I don't think I'll be buying this.

May find the motivation to play it in the future...though given that I haven't bought or played Leviathan either, I sincerely doubt it.

Get them, regardless of your feelings about the ending, you'll not be dissapointed. Bioware has shown they are very adept at making DLCs.... (a bit pricey though).

I was thinking more along the lines of getting The Witcher 2 or something instead. Probably costs less and involves another IP. A fresh start, so to speak.

I'll get back to Bioware after they release a game involving a new IP. Unless their next Mass Effect game is the second coming of [insert religious figure here].

Well yeah, TW2 is better than any DLC and costs almost the same.... Still, you won't be disappointed with Leviathan, I'll tell you about Omega later.

How about before I go fuck myself, I put you on a permanent ban?
What rule did I break this time? Is it because the hats still there? Am i not allowed to swear now? Can I not remind everyone that Bioware has been going downhill since Dragon Age 2? Is it not allowed to be said that in all likely hood Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk left the company not because Mass Effect 3 was finished, but because of all the flak they got for their ever degenerating new releases? I'm not saying it's their fault, but I think they saw the ship sinking and high tailed it out of there. If everyone goes out and buys this Omega DLC you're saying you don't care about their products. You are giving them no incentive to continue making the quality games they used to make. Bioware will look at their profits continue to increase as their quality decreases, and the trend will continue until there comes a point where they are selling you shit on a golden plate. It will continue to look prettier and more exciting, but at its core every new product they release will get worse. Go ahead and torrent it, Hell, I would encourage you to torrent it. I enjoyed the hell out of Mass Effect 3, but I did realize that it was a worse product that the second game. If you have NO problem with their games getting worse than whatever, go ahead and screw all of us by buying the DLC, but if you give two shits about the future work of Bioware, you will take a stand and tell Bioware you want them to continue INCREASING the standards of triple A titles with the only thing that seems to guide them these days, your wallet.

The ending to Mass Effect 3 was utter and complete bullshit. Even they came out an apologized for it and sought to make the situation a little better by releasing some DLC's that kind of, somewhat, lessened the huge terribad way they finished off one of the arguably best game series of all time.

The ending didn't suck because it was confusing, boring, or was poorly written/conceived (though it was all of these things to be sure). No, instead the ending was terrible because it blatantly disregarded everything the series stood for (an RPG where your choices over throughout the game and the series as a whole would dramatically change your outcome), blatantly contradicted the internal logic of the game universe itself, and was, simply put, exceedingly lazy and illogical (the largest fleet ever assembled in history, comprised of all races, is not sitting around a completely decimated planet with thousands of years of space travel between them and the nearest hospitable planet or solar system without mass relays).

It was an embarrassment for what, up until that point (and to a lesser extent DA2) had been the golden child of the gaming industry.

Edit: meant to say ME3 in this game

btw Ray, bioware is going a different direction with the next game, it's going to be use the Frostbite 2 engine (powers actually being able to destroy stuff around you, YES PLEASE!) being made by a different studio that will only be devoted to the next mass effect, is taking a lot of fan input not just on what they'd like to see but whether it's in the future or in the past and have great support and keep their ear to the ground.

So coming out and not buying their stuff isn't the best way to do it cuz me3 is a high selling game, people buy the dlc YET they are still coming out and changing things up and acknowledging how upset people are.

No, the best way to get their attention is to actually tell them!

not in a trolling way, not with walls of text but to write them with clear concise reasons why you're upset and heck, even give advise on how to change it.

A lot of big companies count 1 complaint to i think 100 people depending on the type of business (in washing it's 1 to 1,000) so if you can get 10 people to lodge a formal complaint about their product, they will look at that as 500 people being upset and it works! Trust me, i see the fussing every day on the bioware forums, people are STILL upset, despite it being GOTW worthy if you factor everything sans the ending.

but again....mass effect 4, a mass effect with destructible environments, a better physicians engine for vehicles and possible air combat/flying omg...YES PLEASE. I'd pre-order now if i could.

I dont mind you being upset but the rage you display i feel is counter productive and generally puts people on the defensive. i've heard a lot of both sides, that the ending was great and horrible. it depends on interpretation. I personally didn't care, i was happy i finished the game and won...it was stupid but how many game endings are stupid? I've had MUCH worse.

me3 ended pretty much the same way, same in me1, so the gripes people had were just bleh

False. False. False. A thousand times false. This is just plain, outright false.

ME2 took your decisions from throughout the game (and the game before) and factored them into the final outcome you achieved. There were dozens of different possibilities of who would survive mixed in with a minute random variable. You're choices, not just in the final hour of gameplay, but in all the hours up to that point directly impacted which of your crew made it out alive by the end. That was the promise that Bioware had built into its games via marketing and delivery, and they held true to it in ME2.

In ME3, you had one decision at the very end of the game essentially determine your outcome. Suddenly dozens of hours and 3 games of choices and role playing were thrown out the window for 3 terribly lazy possibilities (mitigated by fail/success chances) that not only did no credit to what was promised or came before, but also contradicted the basic internal logic of the ME universe.

So no, please don't insult everyone's intelligence by saying something blatantly absurd like "ME3's ending scenario was basically the same as ME2's". Also don't for a second confuse legitimate criticism about a shoddy, half assed ending that even Bioware themselves admitted to, with "bleh complaints".

Fan boy syndrome is bad Tym, if you want the games you enjoy to stay the same quality be truthful about what the games really are. Me3 wasn't bad, i loved the game. It just wasn't the same quality as the others and that IS bad.

It's a small grammar mistake from writing much too quickly and not bothering to edit (as I am at work), but it's also not related to this thread's topic at all and not related to the point I was making to Tym about arguing that two very different ME endings were the same. In other words, deal with it: it's not the topic at hand.

Given how many times you've been humiliated on this forum (that you inexpleciably still frequent), you'd think you'd be a bit more intelligent about picking your fights.

Some people are suckers for abuse I guess.
