The Bergetiger has is a special unit because the repair system is totally different from vCOH. That's the only unit with you can decide what you want
to repair when you salvage a few vehicles. In the last game i got a damaged engine from a random motar shot and i had to sacrifice
a whole repair kit. It's late game and i got a Bergetiger? - I can do this without losing one repair kit. (Just one special case)

You mean that you only have to use 450 mp, 220 fuel, 6 pop and a doctrine 3 unlock to avoid having to use a repair kit that costs 60 munitions?

HOLY SMOKES, what a bargain!!!!

Also you've clearly never used a Bergtiger before if you think that you can heal a tiger to even remotely "full health".

My advice to you is: use it. You'll be one of the loudest voices in support of significantly boosting it's abilities after a few games.

I extrat out of your words

Quote
Finding wrecks to salvage is one thing, but oftentimes they will give between 3-20 munitions. In fact, many times you need 7-8 wrecks for a single repair. If you've ever tried repairing something like a Jagpanther with a berg tiger, you're looking at a very insignificant return for that much time and effort.

That it is still possible to repair a Jagdpanther. And i don't think you can bring it to full health because normal repair kits can't do this aswell.
If can manage get a extra repair kit for a heavy you're doing fine.

Again Ahnung, you have absolutely no idea how a Bergtiger works.

You do not "gain" a heavy repair kit when you try to repair a Jagpanther You gain a fixed amount of repair, which for a Jagpanther is between 1/4 and 1/3rd of it's health -- a far cry from coming anywhere close to a full repair kit. A full JP repair kit repairs significantly more HP than the one from a Bergtiger -- which is part of the problem.

I mean seriously dude, play with the unit in question or atleast know what some of the facts are before attempting to jump into this kind of discussion head first. It just wastes time having to explain the basics to you.

I'll have to monitor it more closely next game i'm in. But it's more than 1/8th for sure. Maybe not 1/3rd, probably closer to 1/5th.

I'll let you know.
