Mostly, sadly you can field the same number of STuGs as the enemy can TDs...again, issue with STuG is the number of things that negate its armor advantage.

The Stug gets it's ass kicked by Sherman upguns, Hellcats and Pershings. Other than the AI based Cromwell and Sherman Croc, it really it's not very good against armor.

Except the M10/M18 can you know, kite out of range of anything other than a Panther, KT, Jadg, Hetz; are faster, have a turret, and do pretty good AI.

M10/M18 destroy a p4, and the amount that apanther/tiger costs you get that amount which would equal x amount of m18s, m18s will win, every time.
Im inclined to agree, taht not just the p4 needs some love, medium armor in general needs a lil love. Also the m18 needs a nerf Becuase...
The old m18, had ambush because its pen sucked so much, thus its cheap price.
after vcoh patch, it has almost mirror pen of m10, AND IT SITLL HAS AMBUSH it can also SPOT FOR ITSELF without any upgrade like a tank commander.
i know the ambush got nerfed but its still x50 damage and x50 pen, which in ambush makes it more powerfull then an m10. It needs a fuel bump so i cannt have 6 of them in my company and counter any axis armor ever to exist with maybe 3.

I'd like a rework of the M10, to make the turret more realistic; I.e giving it very slow rotation, perhaps making up for this by increasing sight by 5

yes...lets massively nerf the m10 and in order to balance that, we'll give a slight nearly insignificant buff and call it even.

Tbf consider the following:
Increasing the price of ALL dedicated AT pieces so that they cost a substantial amount more than medium armour. This should leave them at the 250 - 300 Fuel range.
Then, alter crushing mechanics so upon ramming into a guy, the vehicle's speed is reduced to 0.
Finally, make said AT pieces lethal and specific at their jobs.
If you run medium armour, you've got flexibility, and a LOT of it. You run TD's primarily, then you'll need to find an alternative for your AI. Running one or two TD's will still be pretty viable as support for man packed/pushed AT options.
Also, with the crush mechanic alteration, you won't be able to run current style TD spam companies that will lolwut crush their way to victory after bagging every tank in sight.

Actually, it could.
Increase price of AT/TDs and heavy tanks, change Med Armor to 10pop, reduce price and you would see a huge swing in gameplay. Imagine that, the price of a unit changing how efficient it is!

both of these are the wrong solution...just simply use resouce limits as the only limits and let people build companies of whatever units they want that they can fit under the total resource numbers...if they want 40 bikes they should be able to do that.

Instead of the bickering between people, how about evaluating my idea as a mix and match of other people's suggestions and a slice of my own?
I've got my performance alterations, AMPM's price tweaks, everybody's wish for something to be done about crushing which doesn't get rid of it and a way to make medium armour more viable without touching it.
