I just tried the open Beta for a few hours.

...I am astounded at how bad it is. It would be a decent game 10 years ago.

How bad are we talking about?

It's basically a really mediocre clone of Diablo 1 -- which would be fine if this weren't 2012.

Yes the graphics are better, but they might only be considered "good" if this game came out in 2000 -- even a game as old as Dungeon Siege 2 would put it to shame. Everything is dark, and blurry and uninspired. The game looks like it's lost in time.

As for the story/writing, it's actually mindblowing that the team behind the game seems to have somehow been unaware of the dozens of Diablo 1 clones that have come and gone over the years. It's a game utterly without any irony that I can detect, so it's pretty unforgivable that it earnestly attempts to be the exact same game, with the exact same level of complexity, over a decade later.

It's so lazy that it's not even as good at retreading the same cliches as games which parody Diablo 1 clones like "Magicka". 30 minutes in I started wondering why I was playing a crappy clone of Diablo 1 that looked terrible and had writing/gameplay seemingly designed for a 11 year old when I could be playing a brilliant, dynamic, beautiful, and very clever spoof like that.

I thinks it's a lot of fun and the witch doctor has some really hilarious abilities. I think the beta is a bit short though, they should have had more zones in it. I'm definitely going to be picking this up when it comes out, I had a lot of fun with it so far. The experience is definitely way better when you play with friends, that I will say.

Game is ok, don't listen to wind.

If someone like me enjoyed diablo 2 and gear hunting , going for meph and baal on hardest diff all the time he will love this also. Now you can also craft,  gold has meaning because there is an auction house so you can actualy use gold, and the new pvp arena gives incentive to gear hunt to have better gear to go to pvp arena and pwn other people.

So far i love it.

I just remembered this game was made by Blizzard.

Now I feel bad for being surprised that it seemed to be designed for and by eleven year old boys.

Played it little bit,I like it. Thing is,seems that my graphic card is taking too much juice from my cheapo power supply, and I am getting almost like burned smell from it. I am afraid that I dont fry it. If I put details on lowest(now they are on highest),will that cause graphic card to take less power and not overheat it and in the end fry it?

Buy a new power supply smurf, or your computer will end up a pile of slag inside, and then you'll have to replace EVERYTHING. Why the hell would you be using a "cheapo" power supply and jeapordizing the functionality of your computer as a whole?
