What if there was no grind, but everyone started with lvl 9 and he could pick whatever doctrine he wanted ?
furthermore, there could be no tiers. Only 1 tier and  for example 5 choices that give a lot of bonuses (think of this as of all tiers combined into one ability).
This way players could pick how they want to play instantly and would have their company, and if they don't like it, they can switch it at any moment.
No more tedious grinding, no more 'i don't like this buffs but i played 50 games for t4'.

This would also remove a lot of balance problems, because imo it's easier to create  1 tier with a lot of bonuses than 4 tiers with different things.

I would honestly quit.

no more attachment to my company would mean no reason to play. Also it would bring back spam companies and smurf accounts in abundance.

It isnt a grind, especially with the current gain rates. you need to have your company progress, it makes it fun

TBH, I only have 1 company I play because of the grind. It sucks, just waiting for my others to hit 9.

Hmm. still see no sense in taking mandos even though they are cheaper they arent exactly needed. for instance the armor on a tommie is so good why would u take a commando? for price and pool no way. i can get 2 brens for 1 sten nearly which brens will out perform alot.

Commandos and Tommy's have the same armour, Commandos are essentially a 6 man Tommy squad.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Forever trying to reach the t4 i want is not fun. more xp?

i kind of see the arguments for both sides.  But im okay with instant lv 9, and even no pp.

extremely quick deploy assault infantry with smoke that can insta break suppression and can get smgs, piats and grenades.

if you can't figure out what to do with it...

I take brens over SMGS anyday of the week. at least i can deal damage at medium long range. i already said its just a tough Piat platform. essentialy thats all it is yes it can smoke and break supression but i can already do that with 2t3 mandos without exhaustion.

All level 9 is just a toilet in terms of gameplay to be honest. (Which I admit has everything to do with poor T4 balance and nothing with the fact that all players are on equal footing)

Exactly hence my suggestion.
I see some are afraid that 'there will be nothing to play for' well, wrong. You still have your vet, and the main point of eir was always the war, before we had simple warmap and now we are still also waiting for warmap, doctrines were always a pain in the ass to balance, so why not just have 4 abilities in a doctrine with big buffs that you can choose between freely? It would be far easier to balance because one doctrine would have 4 abilities and not 12.
When warmap will be out instead of focusing on 'i need to play xx games again to get that t4' you will be able to focus on the game itself 'i can choose whatever i want without grind.' = you can focus on the warmap.
There is still vet, advantages and reward units, so if you are an 'unlock' 'grind' person you still have the typical stuff.

No, you are wrong.

Actually, the doctrines have never been disabled.

What you may be remembering is when all doctrines were available with no PP limit and everyone was given a level 9 account. That was a cluster fuck that will never be repeated.

It also served to be the lowest point in the playerbase.

Because there is no warmap.

Did you play eir back fldash times when war was a slider ? Even tho everyone had t4 which was much faster to get than what you have now there was constantly 50 players in launcher, becase everyone was playing the war and not for tier.

Yes, I played when the warmap was a slider

However, it being so long ago and so much has changed that your evidence is too old to have any weight.

So you are still wrong.

Warmap slider was epic, and at least a reason to play.

So i guess the person who developed wheel centuries ago was also wrong because it was so long ago and so much has changed since then.
