In this specific case, it was either remove BAR supression or make a mirror of it for someone else, take your pick

they took away slow because it messed up the retreat mechanic.

if you hit slow while the enemy was retreating, you could slow their retreat and kill before they got off the field. In a game of persistancy, it was a super trolling mechanic.

also sometimes if you retreat while slowed, it wouldn't work right, so it got removed.
