It's my opinion that PE shouldn't have man-packed weapons at all but if there are any, they only fit luft. So the 4 man mg42 in SE and the Pak36 in TH should be taken away or put in with the Luft since they're infantry based.
I don't say this because I think it's an issue, but I say it because it's out of place and not with the doctrine's theme.
Anybody agree with me?

it would likely make luft more often played if they have some foot at they can ambush veichles with. sounds like a good idea to me and hopefully we would see diffrent PE than just SE and TH

well, i'd think you'd get rid of the mg42, the mg36 is imo more useful cuz of its cloak.
The pak36 can always be fixed of course. Make it the t-17 gun with lower infantry accuracy. Could be fun, it was called the door knocker it was so bad at penetrating, much like the t-17.
then it can have an ammo upgrade that allows it to penetrate and break treads

Brits are a diff design decision as their support weapons were all emplacements and therefore static.
However, PE is highly mobile so having static weapons with a mobile doctrine is counterintuitive imo, however the brits could take their mobile emplacements and get mobile support weapons and it doesn't change much, they're still rather static but aren't stuck in one place.
There used to be a time when if you were brits and you didn't have another US player with you, you would lose (same with PE)

PE's mobility from vcoh doesn't translate into EIR. PG's aren't as durable, and you can't be constantly repairing your vehicles. There is no squad reinforcement on the field either, which are the things that make a mobile PE strong.

God this is such a horrid thread tbh, lets not be retarded, PE manpacked at is just fine where it is, lets not start removing vcoh units. Every faction needs man pakced at, becuase its universally usefull, without it the factions fail miserably. If i know somebody im playing against has no manpakced at, suddenly i have 8 m8s in my company and the game doesnt last more then 20 minutes becuase they cannt handle my 3 m8 start becuase all they have is madrers and paks. at the exception of the americans who have a multitude of options other then manpakced, allthough, well microed zooks are scary just as much as schrecks

Couple points on SE and MG42 Support Squads. Personally I don't use MG42 squads so I wouldn't particularly miss them.
However, if the argument that only Luft should have man-packed weapons because they are the only infantry based doctrine of the 3 PE docs, I disagree with Tym.
SE can be played as a viable infantry based doctrine if a player chooses so. Getting Storm Tactics T4 increases the effectiveness of all infantry units in Scorched Earth and which can additionally be buffed by Muni HTs.
In turn, SE can be played defensively given that Area Denial allows all your units to build sandbags, tank traps, road blocks, etc. and I imagine MG42 support squads would do well in that aspect as well as being supported by saturation minefields from Muni HTs.
Lastly removing MG42s would make Support reserves an extremely lackluster T2 since it would now only open up Panzer Pios and would require a rearrangement of the doctrine unlocks. Not that the doctrine unlocks could do with a rearrangement and looking at anyways.
