I uploaded 2 little videos of eir combat. I noticed I still had this footage.
One shows why FOO shouldnt be allowed in the first 5 minutes and the other shows once more why US infantry doctrine rules.

They aren't OP. Parking the shit in red cover gives extra damage and more accuracy for the targets. (Stacked with the Leutnant Accuracy bonus!)
The smoke grenade timing was perfect and so the Panzergrenadiere were unable to hit stuff in smoke, while thee US player turned around and starts
owning the incomming Volksgrenadiere.

Allthough note that green cover is directional so it doesn't help against incomming grenades.

That were just heavy tactical errors from the opponents and a good micro from the US player.

they r OP, trust me, they r just stupid how op they r, comand squad and inf doc buffs and trololo 13 or 12 vet3 marines in my inf coy. its so surviveble and strong unit that its aint even funny lol, same as m24 chaffe was before nerf

The Marines themselves are good. Very good, but not omnipotent.

They become ridiculous once infantry buffs come into the mix.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

i think FOO should have about 2-3 less incoming rounds. Its pretty deadly accurate arty that comes in fast and pretty much destroys the shit of that one area.

Marines were bad ass but not the toughest infantry or the deadliest. Cheap for what you got though. I do want them back. Or super buff to rangers doc.

not so sure they werent OP. I remember having fg42s charge them and lose with a US officer around. ( no upgrades on marines)

Units in Open Cover [Negative Cover]: (Smallarms)*
+25% Accuracy, +25% Damage [Negative Cover gives +50% extra suppression]

Units in smoke: (Smallarms)*
-75% Accuracy

Units in yellow cover: (Smallarms)*
-50% Accuracy

Units in green cover: (Smallarms)*
-50% Accuracy, -50% Damage

Grenades on targets in negative cover:
+50% Accuracy, 2x Damage Modifier


Let's sum up:
a)The Marines and Rifleman got a damage bonus of +25% on smallarms and +25% Accuracy for targets in red cover (and up to +33% Accuracy from a Overlord Officer) while gaining -50% Received Accuracy and -50% Damage because they stayed in green cover
b)There were several uses of field dressing and there were allthough smoke grenades for extra buffs on received accuracy
c)In dependency of the actual cover state of the Volksgrenadiere/Panzergrenadiere, units in negative cover got owned by a x2 Damage Modifier from the
grenade (120 Damage!) and +50% Accuracy for the grenade, while the other target in open cover got a +50% received damage modifier.



I don't know if you guys are just stupid or trolls, but I hope you noticed now that cover is the most powerful stuff in this game and can decide if you lose a battle or not. If the two Axis player would have sandwiched skaffa the result would be look totally different compared to this video.
WTF I mean, the WM player had MP40's and a LMG42 (wapeons with high dps on short) why the hack stopped he the charge at midrange!




*I haven't look trough all small arms in EIR and checked if the cover modifiers are the same for all wapeons.

If you would be right cover would make absolut no sense. (Otherwise you could not explain how it's so hard to kill units in a bunker because the cover table of a bunker is -75% Received Accuracy and -25% Received Damage for the unit in the bunker for example)
