Extended cut adds a epilogue to the 3 endings. It is sort of satisfying, but I wish there was a ending which allowed for Shep to survive.

He... sort of lives on if you do the regular control ending, but he loses his mortality as a human... and controls reapers.
I say just watch the videos on youtube instead of buying the package. At least solitaire has a flashy ending with the cards flying down the screen.

Well, its far better then what we had.

But still a little disapointing knowing that your past decisions still didn't matter as far as the ending does.

?

I know they did a bad job still, but do you expect shepard to pop out of your screen and shake your hand? What game doesnt have a bunch of cut scenes for a ending?

Um, if you have a higher galactic readyness than 50% everywhere and pick destroy you get a bonus 3-5 second cut scene where you se his severely wounded/ mangled body. At the last second he breaths.

that was always in there, im surprised they left it, im very curious what that means. The name of the video file itself is called

"End03_Shepard_Alive_Male/Fem"

i just finished doing it on the destroy ending in an hour (from a save right b4 the missiles)

it was meh, they fleshed it out.

get bink player, watch it urself screw ut00b

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

These endings are satisfactory.  The Synth one being still pretty... weird... but I really enjoyed the Destroy and Control ending (the Control one being my fav).  I loved how they retconned the destruction of the gates and said in the narration 'The gates were only severely damaged' to make that clear, hehe.

i always knew they were badly damaged as the energy didn't destroy them, it just used the mass drives energy to send the next burst.

it also showed the fleet leaving via normal power, so it'll take 4ever for them to make it home.

i still dont know whats up with that planet they crashed on...

For an ending... I like that one actually, sure it's a really, really really REALLY bad one, but fuck it, it's great.
At the very least, my Shepard would not accept some half assed choices from some holokid, so that ending actually makes the most sense for the character I think.

The Destroy ending was FAR better than what I had expected. Glad I picked that one  Grin

They should have just rolled with the indoctrination theory...

He does live because at the end the little kid asks to hear another story about the Shepard and the guy was like ok but another time. So that makes it clear he did make it out of there alive. At least that's what you get in the destroy ending, not sure about the others.

That doesn't mean anything. Take Star Wars for example, we were told the story of how Vader died first. Then how he came be Vader. They can just as easily go back or into the middle of Mass Effect for "another story" as they could go forward.

wtf dude sounded like Harbinger when he said "So Be It"

Very interesting. I think Bioware still has surprises.

To be honest, if they'd gone with the indoctrination theory and gave us a free DLC that allowed you to end the war conventionally because it weakened the Reapers shielding and killed their indoctrination, that would've been hella epic.
