TR zooks penetrate panther frontally. Yea,maybe not every hit,but when you get hit by 4-6 zooks,some will penetrate. And if you get rear hits,you just might sent panther to repair.

Penetration against a Panther WITHOUT Tank Reapers is 0.1498 (15%).
Penetration against a Skirted Panther WITHOUT Tank Reapers is 0.11235 (11%).

Penetration against a Panther WITH Tank Reapers is  0.17976 (18%).
Penetration against a Skirted Panther WITH Tank Reapers is 0.13482 (13%).

So no. TR Bazookas do NOT penetrate reliably. Statistically speaking, if you fire 6 Bazookas at the front of a Panther, only one will penetrate. ONE.

Hicks, panther still has to back away from the rangers immediately as they charge it. And you can store up a lot of 2-3 man zooks with the current pool.

You can't argue with rear armour because this is a key element of company of heroes. If you expose your rear you did a tactical misstake and giving up your superior advantages of higher mailed tanks.


Ranger squads with from 2 up to 3 mens will have ~zero anti infantry capabilities so that you can kill them with a single Volksgrenadier.

Trying to kill them with a single volksgrenadier would take a long time, even a 5 man squad wouldn't deal with them quickly, and given that the whole basis of what Smokaz is talking about is rangers backed up by jumbos the volks wouldn't live long enough to hurt the rangers.

Maybe defensive officer volksgrenadiers - and those are probably OP themselves. regular volks wont do shit to rangers.

gotta agree.  And the fact that rangers are tough to kill has nothing to do with the effectiveness of zooks. They are not scary unless you screw up.  We can't balance things based on fail micro, we balance on competent micro...
