THE KING TIGER IS TOO STRONG! REMOVE IT!!! GERMAN STEEL IS TOO GOOD! FIX IT! IT COSTS WAY TO LITTLE FOR ITS EFFECTIVENESS!! I SHALL BE HEARD!!

It won't have German Steel in 2.0.
Also, all you did was throw plain riflemen at it.

The doctrine abilities are not a represenation of what they'll be in the next big version.
Thus any balance & gameplay complaints are pointless.

No, I threw sticky rifles at it, But because of the shitty uses system it wasted my use when the kt drove backwards a foot.

Report that in the bug thread.
Also trying to kill a KT with stickies isn't exactly the best method.

In addition, you guys kept throwing one tank at a time at it instead of doing a big assault.
I can throw 3 m10s in a row at a panther, one by one and the panther will win but that doesn't make the panther an OP tank.

2 well microed m10s and an open area can easily kill a KT.
Especially when it won't have German Steel.

The turret & engine speed completely make up for the high health values.
Try it yourself then you'll see that it's really a challenge to keep it alive.

Uh, since this topic is somewhat valid now. KT needs to be less accurate against AT guns. IMO. Either way, we're going to get an entirely new doctrine list soon so it's all up to speculations for now.

Agreed with Steve, Relic has apparently taken out the modifier for Tanks firing against AT guns, which needs to be put back in.

I guess well-microed M10s would work...if the enemy was retarded and didn't have shreks or Paks or something. 2 M10s=20 popcap, after all.


Quite honestly, the King Tiger can tank AT guns (plural) and tanks (plural) in vCOH. GS and KT should be mutually exclusive in EIR.

And GS works on more vehicles than the KT. As in +35% health KT and a +35% health Stug or something.

I advise all of you to actually play the King Tiger yourself before calling it overpowered.
You'll see that, especially without German Steel, it's really not that impressive.

Balance:

Defence Company Sucks. I mean the skills may be good, balanced and cp-worthy, but it doesent feel GOOD at all. Also noone wants to attack a defence army (suckers....) chance its name to "volksstorm" and give it some real impressiv abilitys that have a Direct effect.

Take your time with this and think about overing a 5th Tree or/and a/some neutral side Tree´s.


It also woud be very intresting if you coud present 1 (one) Doctorime for discussion once they are "ready-ish".

Terror: Hey Guys did you see me pwn last game with my unstopable KingTiger? Those Suckers actually build a undefeatable defence to stop it, but i just V1-ed it!

Blitz: Thats nothing man, i freaking ambushed the enemy with 5 Stormtroops and killed evry unit! after that my Über-Gun-Stugs runned all his tanks over its was so much fun Wink. Not enave with just that i had man comeing with no delay at all since Lighnting war is so awesome!

Defence:
Yeah i kinda build a flak88 and then sited around it for the rest of the game. Well yeah and my guys kinda see the enemy sooner, but its not like its takes longer than 1 sec for the enemy to cover that gap when moveing. :sigh: Well at least my troops take longer to die!

Maybe a bit harsh, since defence i sreally good at veting up your units, but that also works if you dont care about them (see me Tongue) and your not defence.

Just a minor thing:

Company-Managment;

If you move one squad into the middle line of 2 battlegroup the left one will vanish (see screenshots)
It will reapear if you drop any squad into it. You best try it out yourself.

I play Allies usually, and i think the KT is fine. You should not expect M10 tanks weighing 3 times less, having an equivalent of cardboard armour alongside the KT, and with guns 12mm smaller to be able to easily take out a KT, i mean, why is it called KING Tiger. Also, the speed is fine, at about 70 tons, the King Tiger shouldn't be as fast as a the allied tanks.
