I had: 3850-4850-4770xfire-5850-6950-5850xfire..... and not a single one of them was fault free on release on any game one way or the other. And a lot of them have not been fixed yet either.


So far on nVidia; a 580 Lightning and now on a 670 Power Up.... I have not had a single issue, ever.
To top it off, Nvidia has two representatives on Guru3d's forum to report them issues directly.
They have far better methods to apply AA on transparent surfaces without killing performance, something AMD never achieved so far without blurring the entire image (MSAA-FXAA-etc).

I'm not talking about isolated cases, I've been on ATI for nearly the entire last decade, and so far they never could sort their shit out.

Nvidia's driver team has a huge edge over AMD though.... on all fronts, customization-performance improvements and day one compatibility above all. It took AMD almost two months to release a fully working driver for Skyrim, and a lot of crossfire users are still using weak workarounds up today.

Who the fuck uses manufacturer drivers?

That and the latest Catalyst driver boosted performance about 12%

I have never used a single official driver from ATI, those were a joke. The modded ones were a poor attempt at fixing a piece of crap that should have never gotten out of QA, if there was one lolz.

nVidia claims a 17% increase on their most recent drivers, including TXAA support and ambient occlusion profiles for the newest games, so what's your point?

Crossfire setups have always had problems. It doesn't matter what manufacturer you have.

its funny i preferred Nvidea, but my last nvidea shat out on me, but my old ATI from jesus, 6 years ago STILL runs! The last nvidea i had lasted 3 years. But I just plain like nvidea better, there were always minor issues with my ATI, though like I said, it was built to last.
