Could the developers create a standardized browser-based clock on the EiR website so that the Time-Conversion Challenged *raises his hand* will have a easier time?

That's actually a good idea, it might make setting up matches way easier. Imho we should go for GMT as the Europe in Ruins standard time, as it's afterall the main European timezone .

I'm from the USA, and I agree.
We should poll the community to find out where the majority live.

Silence polish man . I'm not on GMT either, I'm actually on GMT + 1, poland is on GMT + 3 I believe? We could also make it GMT + 1 ofcourse, as it's the timezone of Brussels and Brussels is the capital of Europe .

Pff =) England isn't even part of the continent.
Poland is GMT+1 too, just like most of Europe =)

Simply set it to GMT because its the one thing all time zones are compared to, and are based off of. So much easier to convert to other times than if its set to something else. Besides, games do not have to run at times appropriate to the set time zone.

all of europe except the UK is GMT +1 but it would be easier to just set the time at GMT. Even i'm in GMT +1 (france)...

it would be easier for people in further away countries to work the tie out from GMT than any variation as they would only have to +/- the amount of time that their timezone is.

Not all of Europe! Eastern Europe is at GMT+2. That is even more eastern than Poland which considers itself central Europe. Portugal is at GMT with England =P
Not that I'm advocating any timezone. Most people won't have much trouble with them, no matter what you choose. And well.. Americans will have trouble even if you pick EST. =D

I'd like to see our player base first and based upon it I'd suggest using a time that is most popular. Using GMT because this was based in Europe just makes things more difficult for more people, and as I foresee scheduling being one of the most problematic issues I'd like to keep it as simple as possible. Ideally, all times should be catered to the users selected time zone by site programming.
Perhaps we could have a main clock in the top right corner that said "17:00 GMT" and then below it the user's time 12-hour verion. But all time based options should be ideally set to the users time zone.

I've thought about scheduling and I've got a few thoughts.
One was to have every player mark on a timesheet hours that are regularly free over the week. When a battle needs to be played, I write something to cross reference those times and if possible, give out an local time when both players can play.
