Lack of huge caliber ATG's, handheld AT being rarer, no heavy tanks lurking about the field, unupgraded infantry being much more common...

However, you'd still need to achieve some balance. One side getting all the neat toys and the other having bugger all due to not having the appropriate models would be... Bad.

Precisely my point. Less is more.

I wouldnt want all the units to have copies of their late war upgrades. This is a sandbox project, something for fun, lets see what we can make.

Good news is that if anyone tries to use any of the units outside of the project, against the normal units, they will die horribly, ergo, no mixing of the games.

With this ratio do you mean 5 units for every tank
Or 5 squads of infantry for every tank

Pretty sure Men of War have a model of the 25 pounder AT piece, if somebody had the skillset to nab it.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Tbh 1939 is a bit early.
41-42 seems far more fitting.
Most of the units are available.

I'd personally prefer the Africa campaign era over the phoney war/ invasion of Poland

Yeah, would definitely see the appeal of the Africa campaign.

Maybe Commandos would be worth a damn lolz.

Nah, 42' is pretty much what we have now in a lot of regards, barring the heaviest tanks...

I think the point was to go back before the PzIV.F2 and Shermans, to the days when the PzIII was the "Main battle tank" for the Germans  Wink
You know, the good old days were the PzIV was a support tank and sub 50mm guns could still do, and crusaders werent complete shit (to be fair, that is very arguable as they were shit from the design out if I recall)... stuff  Cheesy

The officer is considerably better than a riflemen squad at carrying weapons. Officers have good accuracy so they will hit most targets.

But Sherman's didnt see combat til October in 42.
So in that sense Sherman's would be the superheavy.

The main tanks would be crusader Stuart grant/lee valentine Matilda

Axis would be a mix of Italian and German tanks like pz3 pz4 stubby and the various chezch tanks like the 35 38t

Tbf, the Crusader wasn't all that bad. For it's time and class, it had a pretty good quality main gun and a respectable speed. The problem was of it blowing up to a passing breeze. No room for error at all.

I heard it was a bitchfull of malfunctions in the desert to, something to do with not being built with sand in mind? Basing most of what I said about it on some documentaries I watched way back when, but the old people they interviewed really did not like the thing Smiley

*Insert Tiger argument here*

We don't experience the technical problems of units in CoH or EiRR Niko. What we have left is the units as they were intended.

Wait, at what point did it seem like I was arguing on what the unit should be in the game? Just saying that from what I know it was not very popular. Besides, if we go that route the tiger is severely underpowered anyway even if it randomly broke down?  Wink

And lets be fair, for something introduced in the same year as the Lee, PzIV Ausf.F2 and PzIII Ausf.J it was pretty inferior I believe.

The F2 upgrades were started around the time for operation barbarossa, the F2 was the first variant to mount a long barrel 75mm. The PzIII J was also upgraded in 1941 and it received the 50mm frontal armour with this upgrade to help it take on enemy armour better. IT also had a long barrel 50mm gun at this point I believe.

Tbh, I think the III is the sexiest of the german tanks

I am all for this. I would love to see early war only companies that are very light on upgrades and entirely light tanks and vehicles.

Getting the grant and lee as and ally would be awesome.

This will not be happening in Eir:r. Possibly a separate project in the future though.
