i just dont understand the concept. why base a movie off of a game that's based on WWII and then have the movie have nothing to do with the game? why not just make it based off of you know... WWII? What I would prefer is to watch a shout cast with all the settings on ultra in a movie theater with all you guys (and girl) throwing pop corn at the screen  |

Isn't it obvious??? Slapping a well known name on it, like company of heroes, will make the movie sell itself even if its bad. They don't even have to try to make it good so why bother, they just grind it out to make $$$. Guaranteed money in a box. |

I thought the trailer was pretty good. Especially the part when you could see that the airplanes were toys and the german tanks were russian T55 tanks and when the sniper was standing up without any cover to fire at the enemy sniper or when Vinnie Jones had a cigar and was firing his MP40 or the part where you could see that the americans had lee-enfield rifles.

but we aren't talking Halo, Call of Duty or starcraft, we are talking about company of heroes. CoH isn't well known enough to warrant a movie. we are talking about a game that is only on PC and doesn't have that "big" of a following. so even from that sense, it makes no sense. plus it just doesn't work, i imagine most people who play CoH no matter what the age were all smart enough to look at the trailer and think there's no way I'm going to spend money on that dvd. |
