just tried a 1v1 without draygon being in it and got the same issue i updated my game with the launcher and it came up in game as just stalling had all allied abilities and 8780 man power with only letting me select 2 errored out companies that would not deploy

That looks right...  Is he using the launcher also?  I bet one of you needs to reinstall.

Maybe both of you should download this:

http://www.europeinruins.com/updater/getFiles.php

Extract it to your Company of Heroes directory and overwrite the files when asked.

Nope didnt fix it.  It allowed us to play the game without a scar error but neither of us had the amount of units that we should have( I only got 1 Engie (he came in at Vet 3 btw, and 2 rifles), and I had all the abilities I shouldnt have.  We played it out to see what it did and it said I won...but the game is still up as if it never went through.

So it think maybe something is wrong with the files you gave us ? Since we were allowed to play tells me we had matching files and those are the ones you gave us.

Edit: I could use all the abilities I had too, even though I am infantry company.  Beven is using the launcher, I am not.

Are you downloading battle files and putting them in the right spot?

That battle files you are using are the ones I use to test.  I have only 2 squads in the test package for each side and all abilities enabled.

I told you to create a new battle and use it.

Download the battle files, put the EuropeInRuinsBattle.sga into the C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\EuropeInRuins\Archives directory.

We did, created a new battle that is.  Those files are being put in the same spot as Ive always put it--in the archives folder.

Bevens units were 1 Pio, 2 Grens and a Nebel. (2 squads)
Mine were 1 Engie and 2 Rifles (2 squads)

We both downloaded and extracted to where you said to, and we did (as I said) create a new battle.

Basically, your EuropeInRuinsBattle.sga file is my working copy I use to test.  You need to delete it, and download the correct one for your battle.

Unless the eir_battle.sga file somehow got included in the other SGA packages, I don't understand how you are seeing what you are seeing.

Do either of you know how to work Corsix Mod Studio?

If so, delete EuropeInRuinsBattle.sga open up Corsix, open up EuropeInRuins.module, expand the Data tree then the scar tree and look for a file called eir_battle.scar and see if it exists.

k, deleted the battle.sga opened up the module using corsix, looked where you wanted me to and I see this:
eir_battle.scar
eir_battle.scar.old

and when I downloaded the battle file we created before testing and extracted it to the folder it never asked me to overwrite, so I assumed there was no other battle.sga in there (like always after a fresh install)

Very strange, somehow it got put into the archive...  I think I can fix it in the interim by modifying the .module file.

Okay, good luck.  I'm still not sure what has happened as I used the same scripts to package the modification as I always use...

heh, yea, I'm not sure what has happened to Draygon and Bevin's installation.  Should have had them just delete their EuropeInRuins directory and reinstall.

Maybe the EIR_Setup.exe got messed up...

You both should try playing with someone else... and see if one of you can get it to work. 

It makes no sense that other have been able to play fine, so your installations are screwed up, my guess is the EIR_Setup installation is hosed, but if Bevin uses the launcher, I don't understand why he's having the same issues.

If I were you Draygon, I'd remove the mod again.  Download using the following link:

Extract the .zip to your Company of Heroes directory.  Load up Corsix Mod Studio and check for the existence of eir_battle.scar again.
