AC is great with the upgrade yes, though I don't see why you would bother with T2. German T1 is WAY more flexible than it was in vCOH 1 (which imo is poor design) and you really have pretty much all you need until soviets tanks come around. (By which time you can also have tanks... Soviets don't seem to have any light vehicles that need a proper dedicated AT counter like American M8s...)

HTs are great but easily countered by mgs and panzerfausts though. Not that that's a bad thing, but there really should be a proper soviet light vehicle that needs a stronger AT counter in between infantry and tanks.

M5 halftracks, you put 1 guard and 1 flamer squad in it, if struck by faust, retreat and repair while you screen with the guard or flame...

It's not foolproof, but fun as hell.

I have managed to get out 8 squads of infantry and 4 tanks at the same time in coh 2 (was not at my max pop either). I usually have at least 4 inf and a tank, which is not "small" compared to coh sizes.

I can't really get into beta details about pop and such, but your wrong ill just leave it at that.

Right, even in 1v1's I manage to keep my pop number well above 50, most of the time higher than that, this is a lot of infantry squads and vehicles. There are NOT less units than in CoH1 by any means, not at all.

Rifles feel a bit less lethal in CoH2 unless you double up on squads or catch the enemy in red cover. Combine this with SMG's/MP44's being fairly poor at mid range and most squads do tend to get out alive unless you bring something with a bit of bang.

Gonna have to delve into the statistics on this one soon.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Mortar spam falls on it's face if you keep your arse in gear and close the distance ASAP then get rifle grenades on the go.

If they bring an MG to cover them though, things get tricky and become painfully difficult unless you're mortar spamming yourself, have the patience to pick off 6 man teams with a Sniper (Or two), or have rushed to LV's.

For the record, an MP44's "Short" range is 10m, it won't actually get better if you get closer than that.
