Of course people dislike change, if it's nothing like the first game, then it's not a sequel.

There were a lot of things that could be improved, small things like being able to jump (vault) over cover and a better tier system, on top of that, new units and new graphics, that's great. But big parts of the game were overhauled for no reason and I think a lot of those changes made the game worse.

In some people's cases I'm sure it's that they dislike losing and they have memories of being undefeated in vCoH or some such bullhit.

People aren't complaining that it's too difficult. People are saying: It's too easy, it's dumbed down, all the dept in gameplay and all the tactical aspects of the game are gone. People are using the parallel to DOW2 because that's how DOW2 turned out. No complex or challenging gameplay, just really simplistic and linear play.

That's not true at all. If anything tactics plays a more important role when things can die so quick. The depth is still there, people are just in the run like an idiot stage. In dow2 there was still tactics, infact I'd say it was more in depth because of the infantry armours and weapon types. You need to keep in mind what your engaging and with what, when. Yeah dow2 maps could be improved but the game was good if people got through the changes(retribution[GFWL ruined vanilla dow2])

Let's not kid ourselves were all gonna buy it regardless

Haters gonna hate, but imo they should have taken the StarCraft's II approach, a slight refresh without major changes.
If you do that on +6 years intervals nobody would complain about getting the same rehashed shit annually.

Tactics are still important. Yesterday i won with 2 conscript squads vs 2 grenadiers and 2 pionieer squads, simply by manouvering through cover, using range, using molotovs and so on.

So much l2p in Tigs statement.

And i don't even think the pak 43 does 60% damage to the t34, i know the pak 40 takes about 5 hits to kill a t34, not counting crits. As to your issue with pgrens, well learn the mechanics of the game, if your point blank your doing it wrong. (also only 1 doctrine has prone and a flamethrower unit doesn't get it.)

Also Alpha, have you even played, your another person who i have never seen play with the eirr group.

Actually, the pak 43 has less damage than the pak 40, this is likely a beta oversight.

losing a pgren squad to a conscript squad with 2 ppsh's is disgusting. Not only to the pgrens have 4 mp44s, but due to how close range works, you have some 10 feet of maximum dps where you can easily grab cover which is very important in COH 2.

Also the bundlenade is around double the range of its vcoh counter part. so you don't have to move point blank to throw it. sit in cover toss your nade and tear them apart. As soon as PG's get anysort of vet they become godly.

Or maybe, just maybe Vcoh "Pro's" are not all THAT good, and have trouble adjusting to CoH2 due to their Vcoh pro-ness  Roll Eyes

That's especially funny because I'm 16 in all four factions and I am not good at vCOH at all. I spend all my time micro'ing my units and forget to build shit.
