Yup, there is absolutely not reason to ram tanks into the enemy anymore for that point blank penetration increase as it does not exist, this actually has lead to a lot more "proper" use of tanks in games, instead of trying to glue m10's to heavies in hope of makin them stay put, trying to rape them up the ass that is coh1 TD usage.

So I've been playing coh2 for a few days now and while I enjoy it something just seems off. Hard to explain.

I just get the feeling that the graphics are somehow... not right and I don't know if it's being I'm just too used to coh1 or if there's something actually wrong, or maybe my laptop is just bad. If I had to guess though I'd say it's health bars and units being a lot smaller. The IS-2 just doesn't have the same big tank feel as say a KT does. I also get the problem of things being physically hard to see during blizzards, it's not just a LoS problem but again not sure if laptop just bad or it's intended. Honestly though visuals aside I'm liking game balance so far, people who complain about balance are way too premature. Especially considering most people I've played against are complete and utter shit.

Lack of a leaderboard also hurts my incentive to play 1v1. What can I say I'm a stats whore. I got most of you on steam though so hit me up for some games. For those that don't,

I'm sure the leaderboard will be added for release.

I do agree something feels off though, but it's hard to say what exactly.

Also UI is shit. Everything is too white. I get they want to push the whole winter thing but even the fucking UI is hard to read.

Fix UI, give option to disable blizzard graphic effect and add those green exp numbers when you kill things from coh1 and I'll be happy.

I love the new s-mines though, everyones like "its too expensive for 4 mines!" But i realized that when you put down the '4' it actually spawns a full field of around 10 mines.

Yeah, the minefield concept is cool... But the lack of a cheap single mine for Axis can really hamper early game soft counters to Rusky vehicle rushes (60 MU for a Teller is pricey as hell).

Fortunately, Conscript spam is much more common lol.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

Yea. while throwing huge minefields down can be fine, I'd still like to retain the ability to quickly throw down a quick mine once in a while. I'd also prefer to see one 'general' and one 'teller' mine, like in vCOH, rather than mines being either entirely AI or entirely AT...

Same with barbed wire fields, I like the addition but you should still be able to put down individual wire just as well.

I've actually been enjoying the beta so far though, once you get used to it it's almost as good as COH 1. Will probably be pre-ordering it this month.
Add me on steam if you want to team up. (I don't do 3vs3 or 4vs4s though, they're an atrocity, even worse than in COH 2 because of how you can OP every single point and bathe in fuel)

just started the beta 2 days. Enjoyed the non-snow maps so far.  Blizzards make me want to punch something.  I get the concept, but its just not fun...

You can usually have a halftrack by the first blizzard. Then it doesn't slow you. Also blizzards are the best time to lay mines and demos.

I like them for what I can do with them. The blinding conditions is a bitch to see units prepping grenades

They recently cut the fire pit radius though, pretty annoying. Also, germans generally have a distinct advantage during blizzards if by that time they've built up some doom fortress with bunkers and whatnot. (Which I swear is the most goddamn annoying strategy to play against with how easy it is compared to COH 1)
