Its just loosely based on the D-Day landings, more a mix of Omaha and Utah.

Actually, yes =)

But the sector layout is going to be made thus.

The defenders will have an equal number of sectors to the attackers, basically, if the Beach is 6 sectors, the cliffs are 6 sectors. This in an attempt to actually make an attacker/defender scenario, and give an advantage to companies that are setup to take advantage of it.

Rommel's Asparagus is for Gliders. However, the Germans did put up wooden poles tipped with mines on the beach to blow up landing crafts.

Indeed, and that model is a Teller Pole, it has a mine, its not Rommel's Aspargus which were just sticks standing up to screw up glider landings.

Ok, here is a view from above and behind. Now the problem is, I can't think of filler. In the back on the green houses and a town will start, but along the cliff ledges I can't think of anything. I don't want to give the defend much more of an advantage than they already have.
