Hey there,

i got recently Ubuntu 12.04.3 TLS on my PC because win 8 just fucked up.
I installed Steam and Coh: new steam version proper. Now iam trying to get EIRR to work. But unfortunately it makes trouble yet.

For Linux i use PlayonLinux and i have to install relevant MS programms like .NET Framework.
I installed yet .NET Framework 2.0 and 4.0
What else do i need to get the launcher to run?

thx in advance

Use an application named Wine,
Had a new guy join us once and i was going trough all the steps, he was pretty good at making things run for linux but as i kept asking him about things like that he told me that thats the most common/usefull program you can use if you run with Any sort of linux based OS.

But hey, Sence you are running with ubuntu you need to learn this stuff.

If u got problems its most certainly user rights, but u got to fiddle that one out by yourself.
Especially with the launcher, as it wants to write on your harddisk.
Baiscly on Linux u need admin privileges for everything, and ur never logged in as admin, makes it safe, but horribly complicated.

try installing the XNA frameworks, I cant remember which Im using (Im fairly sure its XNA 2.0)

And are you using mono to run the launcher?  That might give you info on what to have installed as requirements.

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Why don't you collect up your love beads and potpourri and find something constructive to do.
