Well, to be honest I am not sure what it is you guys are expecting from these forums..... Call it democracy, call it communism...... whatever the fuck you want I guess. All the names are wrong.

Simply put, no one is forcing you guys to use these forums. The forums are run the way the dev team wants them run. Too bad, so sad, if some of you disagree, it's just the way we roll.

I have no idea how we are supposed to say this diplomatically to spare your oh so sensitive feelings, but we really don't care if it doesn't make you feel all warm and fuzzy.......lol

Sorry to burst your bubble, but forum decisions are made by the people who run the forum. It has never been, nor ever will be a community decision. Do not confuse that with a lack of interest in your opinions. We listen, but our decisions are not determined by what a few outspoken members have to say.

My use of the word Democracy was just as poorly used as socialism or communism; and for that I am wrong and apologize.

 The bottom line is I do not sugar coat the truth with a bunch carefully phrased words to cater to a bunch of pussies. The age limit to play CoH is 18, so I just assume anyone here is at least that age and has the mental capability to understand reality - somewhat. If you are below that age either physically or mentally, then you are in the wrong forums.

I am not here for a popularity contest. I am here to ensure the intelligent people that would like to communicate in an environment that is not over run by a minority group of tards. has a great place to do it.

But seriously guys, this is not a power trip or a Hitler regime.  These are simply our forums that we want to run in a preferred way. If that sucks for you, then just go somewhere else.  There are thousands of them on the internet, you are not forced to use this one.

As far as i know, Tank has never banned anyone for anything other then breaking the rules. I do know that he has let many people off the hook for a lot of shit thats against the rules.

You cant simply ban everyone that offers constructive and trolly critisism, if you keep doing that either your gonna end up with a bunch of dogs licking your every word or gonna end up with a forum filled with Icks and Graywolfs.

The community is too small to give out permabans.

Wind Aside from being a long time member of EIRR. has provided some balance opinions and has also helped out various new players he's even made a shoutcast with me which may or may not have helped new players but it has certainly provided entertainment.

There are plenty of other worse ppl but no, the ones who use the forums get banned not the ones who constantly stomp new players.

The only person responsible for wind's ban is wind. Creating multiple new accounts to avoid his ban and openly admitting so, is not the dev teams fault.

Wind's a big boy.  I am sure he can handle the consequences of being banned from the forums.  It did seem however that he couldn't even play his normal acct in the mod which if true is a little silly.  It's hard enough to get game as is and unless he was actively trolling gameplay or launcher in the mod I don't see why his game acct should be wiped or banned from play.  Just my 2 cents.  I am sure someone will mention something about the smurfing rules but currently at best the mod is having two games going at once nowadays.

You haven't even remotely given a legit reason for his what seems to be an over the top ban.. Not that you have to with what you were saying, but look at the shit storm it brings down upon the mod..

I think this is the main issue, I don't see how banning him from playing achieves anything constructive, aside from flexing ban hammer muscles.

If he's being a troll in forums fine ban him from forums, but banning from mod is extreme given the fact the active community is smaller than ever.  In that respect, banning from play is counterproductive.

Tank is absolutely correct. The devs setted up community rules. U follow them to maintain a comfortable environment. Wind decided to follow the rules as he joined the community and has to take responsibility for his actions. He did broke the forum rules more than once, the result is clear. When he was banned from the forum it was fine he didnt bother anyone with his long post. That is fine go ahead ban him from the forum.

in the launcher he causes no problem or at least i haven't seen him do anything to disrupt the order. Making multiple accounts isnt admitting anything other than he wants to play.

You still haven't given any real evidence to a ban other than breaking the rules.

There is no TANK BAN enjoy vacation post that you end with someone post. For all we know you banned because you felt like it.

Nope, not the way it works. If that was the case it would have been reversed by another dev. That's the way we role.

The Dev team decided that banning someone from the forums but continuing to let them play the game was pointless in-regards to deterring the problem in extreme situations - Winds offenses were an extreme situation.

You haven't even remotely given a legit reason for his what seems to be an over the top ban.

We did give you a reason. He broke the rules written here:

He did NOT break rules 1, 2, 5, & 8

He was given a written warning for the rules he did break. It was his actions after that written warning that resulted in his 7 day forum ban. It was his very extreme and malicious actions after that that resulted in his 7 day game ban.

Now he has resorted to some of the most extreme actions taken by any community member in retaliation and the dev team is in discussion as to how we intend to handle it.

As much as you all would love to lynch me and call me Hitler, let me lay out some facts. The number of warnings and previous bans Wind has received put him in a position where his next offense should have been an automatic 30 day ban - as per our dev team rules written 5 years ago.
I chose not to be that harsh and just sent him a written warning. Even after his over the top actions after that, I still only banned him for 7 days.

So even though the dev rules state he was to be banned for 30 days, I cut him a break. ......................ya, sure looks like tank130 was the problem......
