Has anyone noticed you can't put Trench Busters in a Carrier? I thought this would be an awesome strategy, and have seen it done by PE players who sometimes throw Flamethrowers into their Half Tracks. When I tried building the company, however, I found the Trench Busters couldn't jump in a carrier.

I think this should be changed. Being a 4 man squad, the Trench Busters are already pretty fragile when you consider the other members are equipped with rifles not at all suited to the close quarter battles needed to make the most of this unit. Also, giving them a faster and safer means to close the distance with MG42s than on foot would help their playability.

What do you guys think?

They could orignally, was hilarious when Roos were accidentally still in the game and you would trow them in, i think they removed it because it was OP in the right hands, personally i think its just as stupid as when they made it so commandos cant be in brens, srsly, What the fuck.

If Flamethrower Heavy Infantry in Half Tracks is a thing, then Trench Busters in Bren Carriers should be a thing. If you are PE and you have no answer to this, really that's your problem.

Last time I checked they should be able to.

You sure it isn't just a launcher thing?

Hm... I'll take a look into it.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

The difference is the ammount of damage an inf HT can take compared to Bren carrier.

a bren carrier can take 3 shots. inf HT only 2 from an atg.

So draw your own conclusion, if Trenchbusters in Carrier are op

Problem is the speed of the bren carier not so much survivability. And take into account its a heavy pool unit on a low pool doctrine aswell as tying the officers into the the company which is probably 24 pool? Between 2 lts 2 cpts. You looking at a smooth 30- 40 pool left over

Unit name: 250 Light HT
Health: 300 HP
Armour: tp_vehicle_sdkfz_22x_armoured_car.lua Ar
Sight: 35
Accelleration/Speed/deacceleration: 4,5/7,2/3
Weapon: mg42_250_halftrack
Holds: 10

Unit name: Bren Carrier
Health: 245 HP
Armour: tp_vehicle_universal_carrier.lua
Sight: 35
Accelleration/Speed/deacceleration: 2,5/7/3
Weapon: mg42_250_halftrack
Hold: 6

The bren is left with 15 HP after 2 shots if the pak didnt fire first in cloak.
the clowncar is killed but is more likely able to flee from the situation with its supirior speed and acceliration
Ninja edit: forgot to add that the universal armour is better against small arms fire than the Clowncar armour.

Assult flamers have 80 HP and airborn armour.
Have 3 Mp44s and a flamer
sappers Flamers have 60 HP and soldier armour.
3 enfields and a flamer

Granted the sappers have the better armour here but are worse in the HP department plus the Assult flamer is able to put out way more DPS against face to face fighting here in case the user is unlucky and isnt rolling any crits.

Id go with the clowncar flamer with out a doupt

Keep in mind this didnt take into effect of Zrecks and zooks.

lets just put it like this
3 zreck hits kill a bren carrier as each hit deals 98 damadge.
4 zook hits kill a clowncar dealing 93 damadge each hit.

Is the mg on the iht better than the bren carrier weapon?. I feel the supression on the iht is way better than bren carrier.

Also the mp44 seem crucial to the effectiveness of flames.

The bren gun on the bren carrier may as well be non existant, its dps is negligible.
There's certainly a reason why there are no flame sappers on the leaderboard and plenty of ass Flamen grens.

The very best player of one of the four factions.

Bren carriers on RSE and in extension Flamer sapper or any HHAT Bren carriers were annoying because the player tended to get ablative plating with double repairs.  This made them very annoying to kill with any of the normal PE AT options since they could survive 2 shots from Marders and 50mm HTs (exacerbated by the slower rate of fire compared to paks) and had multiple repairs.

320 HP platform that can survive more than two ATG shots and has multiple repairs and is better vs small arms fire so unlike the IHT you can take a 57mm shot and then avoid getting penned by that garand or bar that gives you engine damage.  I personally like HTs more for small arms protection, nade protection, accuracy bonuses and sniper invulnerability for the flammens rather than the mobility of the unit itself so given the choice of platform I'd rather have the 320 health bren carrier for assault flammens esp since it allows all 4 to fire their weapons.  Basically Zimmermit and Sparepart HTs or RSE brens would be awesome with flammens but they are on the wrong doctrine.

Unit comparision itself
220 MP 80 muni 7 pool 5 pop T2 unlock
280 MP 120 muni 8 pool 5 pop used to cost something like an additional 60 MP to add sprint to flammens T3 unlock

Not much to say here imo:
It's a cheaper unit and a lower tier unlock.  It was the toughest with 60 health and awesome soldier armor and I think highest dps flamer squad behind Assault flammens.  American engi flamer squads might have more dps now with the grease gun change.

Better question is do you go with a Trenchbuster squad in a bren vs just using a Bren Wasp.
