New mapping project I just started on, figured a few pictures were in order.

Havent named it yet (working title is Anges de la Mort, but its dimensions are 256x512 same as St. Hillaire. There is a small town on either end and the map is divided roughly in half length-wise by an impassable rise. On one side are flooded fields and a raised road, the other is a devestated market center.

I'm thinking of using the Holland building set, but I haven't really decided.

I am proud of how it looks so far, but I have only really just gotten started.

All these other maps coming out motivated me to put in some major work on ADLM

I placed the roads and finished placing all the buildings, trees are next followed by major tiling, splating and splining.

But just to show off the layout= Overhead map

Once you get into the mapping a little more you'll end up the same don't worry Wink.
I remember my first map, it was pretty random (and shitty looking lol). Back then people actually bothered to test it though. (This was with the initial release of the WB Smiley)

I plan on getting back to mapping after my exams, got a few projects laying around.

I want the map to feel diverse.

The left side is going to be a little like angoville, more or less open. A few trees and fences but most of the cover will be ditches and scrub brush. Definately tank friendly.

The right side is going to be a little more heavily wooded, with most of the fighting centered around the market plaza.

The map is divided partially by a sharp dropoff in terrain.

I hope it will provide a little diversity in play depending on how people want to advance.

Interesting approach, looks nice.

Hope to see it playable in the near future!
