I think the idea is very good but as I understand it costs a tank as much resources as and the player had almost no much other units.

Thus, the tank player must guard the fuel point all the time or another player has to do it for him.

In a 3v3 or 4v4 it could works but in a 1v1 or 2v2?

If you can not win over the cap, it might be possible. Smiley
But in a 1v1 the other Player hold the amour point and attack the fuel  point with offmaps the hole time?

If I understand Ick's description correctly, resources are transfer via a truck. I assume an Opel truck. If that is the case, the apposing player just has to wipe out the Opel truck and the tank player is no longer receiving fuel to run his tank.

This sort of reminds me of a game I saw years & years ago. You had these harvesting vehicles that I think harvested ore or something. You needed that to run your army. If the apposing player wiped that thing out, you ran out of resources and all your vehicles stopped.

Was that called Red Alert or something?

Naw, red alert is standard fare RTS. Depriving your enemy of resources does not render his current units useless.

The wargame games do that however, all tanks have fuel and ammo and they'll definitly run dry in a long game if you move a lot.

Will it also be possible to capture the trucks? Say if you intercept a truck you can steal the truck, but you then have to drive it back to your spawn to get the resources.

I think Territory should be resource and Population factor not win factor coz i have played so many Eir games in the past that enemy had won the game just by territory cap as nothing left to counter wat enemy has.

Maybe a timeout counter if you have non unit on the field.

nope territory should always be a viable tactic because exactly as you stated, just incase you dont bring a viable counter.
