Can confirm, They take 90% of a pumas health away in one close range burst and can circle marders and 50mm halftrack to death.

I am of the opinion that Airborne middle tier 4 AP burst Quads are over-powered. They are excellent AI as well as AT due to this ability, making them spammable and extraordinarily effective- especially against PE light armour. In conjunction with this ability, the cost-effectiveness of quads increases significantly for what one pays in terms of resources.
The tier 4 this concerns, Prepared Positions, already gives grease guns to AB support crews, allows Airborne to cloak in cover, AND gives the player an additional 6 pop!

Im not sure the grease gun support crews are much to brag about.

the cloak as good as it is seems very meh, since the squad is so big it doesnt really come into effect until the squad losses a little.

But yea i agree that the quads are pretty strong. but then again with pool you could only take so many.

its just like anything recently with the influx of older players that spam. rolcsika and shockcoil using like a million armored cars.

Why not just add munitions cost. AB already muni intensive coy, making the AP rounds cost muni could force you to decide.

Well that's what im saying. it's just like anything that is spammed beyond belief that they are difficult to handle unless you bring a direct counter to it.

If it was purchasable for around 25-30 munies then it would be good. ( like the AP rounds on bren carriers)

ontopic: You guys realize this is in the "passive" abilities section, and no ability in that section is supposed to be an unlock, those are reserved for the unlocks section. You would turn this into an unlock, screwing with the entire doctrine philosophy. All in all I find this t4 quite underwhemling and that's why pretty much no one ever used it except for a few people who were curious to be honest. But the bottom T4 is even more of an offender at being shit. Death from Above is heads and shoulders above these two. Both T4s need looking at

How is any doctrinal that gives you a massive six pop bonus underwhelming? If prepared positions is underwhelming i'd say its more the cause of death from above being too good.

A single quad kills ANY light vehicle in mere seconds- try 80MU- same as a BAR.

Yes so does a bren carrier. 2 bren carriers with ap rounds is 50 munies.

They will massacre any armored cars or what not in the first volley.  now pack supression fire with RCA onto that and you essentialy have a quad.

with a vet 2 cct they have the same range. 35 for a regular Bren carrier +5 with a cct. 40 range i think with the quad.

quad has 15+ more hp

the only real saving grace of the quad is the mobility of the gun being able to turn  all the way around.
so what  if we do with the bofors HT and it can only fire from the  front or back. or give it a slower gun rotation.

On the subject of changing the doctrine, i think gren is right. the T4s are very hit or miss.

Top t4 requires you to literally cram infantry and suicide the entire game to pretty much get any buff from that T4.

Bottom T4( not sure anyone takes these whatsoever)

Mid T4 aside from the Pop boost and Quad burst it is underwhelming.  

Airborne require 2 things to work well. 1 healing (serously nothing is worse than have 4 near dead squads of rrs all game)

And 2 Smoke. you get rid of the mortars and rid of the healing and airborne are dead in the water.

Compared to the Luft T4 it's really underwhelming. The AP burst is however too powerful against PE. All AB T4s should be redesigned.
