I think the panther is fine with heavy crush. American players should make a tactic that can counter the panther.

I actually have a problem with Tank Traps in general, in reality those things would tear the hell out of treads on tanks going over them.  I dont have a problem with the Panther having heavy crush, or the Tiger/KT either, I do have a problem with them running them over and not taking any damage when doing so.  They should get a penalty to their rate of movment at least for a short time after they run them over IMO.

I must agree with you Draygon. Since most people won't budge on removing the crush ability, I'll vote for damage/a decrease in speed. After all, crocs have to slow down when they have the bulldozer engaged. The Tiger & KT move slowly anyways, now the panther completely plows through everything... I find it completely proposterous. I'm sorry if this makes anyone mad, but most of you people are axis players, or have an axis account. Most of those axis players actively use panthers. As popular as it is, the crush ability is still unfair, and TT's are no longer being used (at least, not as much as they should be). I have pledged to be allies only when 2.0 comes out, and I will not support how the pershing, Tiger and KT have lost part of their prestiege thanks to the panther's crush ability. It's utterly redicoulous. If you're blocked, shoot it with AT, or something of the sort, don't make a standard tank supremely superior, it's completely asinine...

Its a good thing, the walls of TTs were rediculous.

I disagree AmPM with the way that EIR is now you barely get enough time to set up any sort of defense, let alone a wall of TT's you MAY get to block off one point but you cant do what people (including myself) used to do with the "walls"

The fact that it crushes is ok, I guess, but there needs to be a penalty to do so, OR make it a buyable purchase like the Croc has to do with the bulldozer.

The Penalty

650mp 850fu

IF you don't play against Blitz you have a ton of time to setup. Even playing against Airborne I can usually TT part of the map.

Not with the maps we have these days, specifically french countryside, it takes you 1.5 minutes just to get to the middle of the damn map which leaves you 1.5 to set up, the way engineers build TTs you get MAYBe a string of 6-7 done in that time, no where close to "cutting off" any part of the map.

It's not a penalty, it's the standard price for a standard tank. A tank that is on the verge of qualifying as a heavy tank. It's well armoured, has a powerful gun, is the same speed as a P4 or sherman, and whatnot...

EIR was just fine before the crush ability. Take any random map: Wolfheze, Sturzdorf, Langres, Angoville, Lorraine, Hill 331, Siene river Docks, etc. Can you block off every important area in 3 minutes??? No. The only map which I can think of that that can be done is The sheldt, or possibly Lyon.

The Panther is a heavy tank.  They just built so many of them they re-classified it as a medium tank.
