It's currently 6:33 in the morning here. I appear to have logged a solid 17-18 hours of coding today; as of this posting my contribution to the upcoming patch is now finished.

It's truly been an honor to be a part of the mod that caught my eye back in 2011; back when nobody in their right mind would have thought I'd sit where I do now--on the EiRR development team. With the imminent release of R029, it's my personal hope that we've managed to turn a new page in EiRR's long and tormented history. With this release, and a little elbow grease to get us greenlit in Steam, we might finally return to the days of old where you'd spend more time jockeying for position/ninjaing spots in the launcher than going outside to smoke, afk to walk the dog, or simply trying to organize a game when ****ing Shab goes AFK in that full 3v3.

I want to extend a particularly large thank you--as I think we all should--to Lothen; he has absolutely picked up the slack since June of 2016; by my rough estimation he has managed a full 85% of the coding load in addition to 90% or more of the launcher work. He is the one largely responsible for EiRR being in as complete of a state as it is now; without him we'd be dead in the water.

Though the watermark might say otherwise--and at this point I'm too tired to try editing it --I think that EiR has evolved sufficiently to warrant the possibility of a new title. No longer are we Europe in Ruins: Reinforcements. We are now Europe in Ruins: Redeployment.

May the coming year find us all in good spirits both within EiR and out in the real world. May you stack your vet high or stack the skulls on your hunting throne higher. Vet for the vet god. Skulls for the skull throne. And, finally, a WiFi installation in the coding cave.
