People's thoughts on the Ostwind?
Been seeing them a lot recently and finding them pretty tough to deal with as handheld AT (i.e: piats) seem to do pretty much fuck all against them meaning it can just charge in and kite you At gun?

Either mines or layered AT guns. AT rifles, although often maligned, also do the trick. Bofors are extremely good. Stuarts will do what they need to as well.

PIATs have always struggled against mad rushes of tanks/light vehicles.

Bofors won't pen the ostwin, Stuart will struggle, since OST can win against stuart. Upgraded ostwind is pretty powerful.

Ostwinds always come into the meta when allies rely a lot on inf blobs, and they always get called op for a week till someone remembers how to cover their at guns properly.

Stickies aren't meant to kill the ostwind, just to keep it away from your at gun. The most dies to 3 shots from a 57mm, and one single shot and a sticky can actually give it engine destroyed as a critical.

Same thing about the Bofors - won't kill it on its own, but reliably pens the rear. If the most is to kill an atg, it needs to circle - and you can get some solid rear shots in.

Keep at long range and the Stuart will fuck an ostwind nine ways to Christmas.

That being said steel wall synergyses with costs extremely well and is mega cheap. Might be worth looking at.

Ostwind was buffed vs stuart after people complained about Allied LV spam (stuarts and tets in particular iirc)

Cromwell is also a viable option if you're building around them.

Firefly obviously makes short work of them.

Boyz AT has already been mentioned but it's worth mentioning again. A charging Ostwind isn't much of an issue if it can't shoot, it'll either have to rush the squad or back off making it an easy target for your secondary AT piece.

Tachi, even with those buffs to the ostwind - would you want to do the maths to see how well a stuart and an ostwind would duke it out? I think we both have a pretty good idea of who would win the engagement most of the time, particularly at long range.
