Some see veterancy as glory, some see it as unnecessary thing, some hoard it, some throw it away. Preserving veterancy is the core of EIRR.
However there is a small problem with veterancy. It isn't fair on all accords. When I say it isn't fair, I mean it is unfair to vehicles.

Let me base this on one thing:
- Retreat

That magical button offers buffs to retreating infantry, support weapon crew, whatever. They run, they become harder to kill tand once they are at fullspeed, they'll be difficult to handle. Vehicles lack this magical button and have to be driven offmap which leaves them at a disadvantage. Now how would one go about this? Vehicle crews aren't happening unfortunately, so the ideas of those are tossed to the bin, had it been possible it would of been done years ago.

What about, each level of veterancy gives abilities for vehicles?
Sherman gets smoke at vet 1, these sort of things.

Speed boosts (Flank speed), damage abilities (S-mines), extra sight range (Commander vision) and so forth. These buffs would apply to veteran vehicles only and would be on cooldown, some can be uses for instance. It is to make up for lack of retreat option that most other units benefit from. It could boost survivability or simply add a new feature to the veteran unit?

This.

Vehicles are not worth saving for vet as they are can't retreat fast enough like infantry and time is precious in eir.

Say you are trying to retreat an engine damaged vehicle, your pop is being wasted during that time, not to mention that you have to manually micro it to the spawn.

Incorporating vehicle crews would be the best way to go on vehicle vets.

+10% HP at each vet level would help. Right?

Closest thing to simulate vehicle retreat would be speed boost with weapons and inf crush disabled; with action irreversible once activated.

Any more vet buffs to the tanks would be over the top.

How about tanks get legs and starts running to spawn after retreat button is being pushed? Icon for retreat button could be one of Flinstones characters? lol

I feel like if Smokaz and Shab met up it would be a 50/50 tossup to see which one of them robbed the other first.

vehicle buffs with endless repairs is just a buff for lv spam, which is not needed, with just the old 1-repair-system I would heartiily agree on survivability buffs
