And the good players will usually have the higher ranks.
At least in the long run, since they're more than likely to get promoted easier.

And later on it's possible that a larger rank system will be used and this will give you an even better impression of how good a commander actually is. Since in the alpha with just 3 ranks there could still be alot of really good players among the "captains".

Yeah, that should be good. I didn't want everyone to be at the same level, like you say skilled commanders give a side character.

Keep Unit and Ability costs. Restrict ammo, Fuel and introduce unit caps.
Just wanted to say that again.

Unfortunately that's not enough for balance.  However, we are trying to keep the unit capabilities like vanilla.

I have already made a proposal for changing axis doctrine names since terror/blitzkrieg/defensive division sounds really wacko. Allied company names are fine.

A possibility could be PanzerGrenadier or Sturm Division for Blitzkrieg, SS Division for Terror, and Reserve, Security or Fortress Division for Defensive.

I have made name change suggestions very simular to yours in the past actually Tongue and most of devs supported the idea of changing them but I'm not sure if they'll make it into the alpha.

And since other players have also made the name change suggestions in the past, and you suggesting it today, I guess it's obvious that alot of people would support changing the names.

We'll see Smiley.

I am extremely excited about this mod- it's like WW2OL, minus the suckiness, and the monthly fee.  But what I want to know is how far your "Western Europe" description will go.  Like, perhaps from Normandy to the edge of France?  Or will it extend to Germany?  That would be fun, defending the Rhine from the Ami invaders-

Cheers to the development team.  This is a huge undertaking.  Best of luck.

Yes Germany is going to be included as it's  Western European, and probably the most important country during the time.

Russia for instance is not included as that would be considered Eastern Europe and it's simply impossible for us to recreate without a Russian faction and russian elements in a map builder. Let's just hope they'll pass us an expansion with them some day.

Thanks a bunch.  And the sad thing is, no expansion is expected until next year! Cry  You guys are our only hope!
