Vet 1 seems decent enough for me. I was able to keep a 2 man Shrek squad on the field for half a game, and it got a Halftrack, Croc, and half a Sherman dead.
2 BARs may have muc higher dps than 1 lmg...That's two fucking bars. 2 BARs is two riflemen, and 2 LMGs can be on the same Gren squad, so that's 420 MP 260 MU compared to 240, 200 and
ONE bar should be better than an LMG at 30 MU difference.
And it is. You are paying for a "you are suppressed" button, not passive firepower as in the case of the LMG. Of course you get passive firepower too, but its the SF ability which sets them apart. DPS is not a primary factor here. If LMGs could SF, they might cost twice as much.

LMGs make grenadiers stand up to BAR Riflemen.
The suppression fire is only an extra, at least in EiR it is.
Generally speaking, SF is a one time use so people have to use it wisely.
(Where as the LMG gets to deal suppression at the higher vet levels all the time)
I for one would like to see SF detached from the BAR upgrade.
This way, users could purchase cheap BARs to stand up against Grenadiers and some BARs with SF to stand up against elite infantry. It would offer some great variety in infantry as well imho.
(More BAR riflemen rather than 4 squads of BAR riflemen and 10 - 20 unupgraded ones)

Vet 1 : SF granted to BAR squads
Vet 2 or 3: Cooldown decreased from (9?) minutes to XX minutes

How far removed is EIR from vCoH. I'm only asking because someone said Volks<Rifles.
This s not true in vCoH and in EIR rifles have 1 less squad members so i fail to see how it can be true here.
Rifles only own volks at very short range, at long range a 5 man volks squad will beat a 6 man rifle squad every time, if both are in green cover the effect is even more pronounced so why would a 5 man rifle squad > volks?

They don't.
Rifles cost significantly more though but that has more to do with the 5 pop on rifles.
(Rifles also have better vet)

Or just grenades on either side.

Rifles still have 6 members, they just have 1 guy that counts as 0 pop.

you get 2 BARS in 1 rifle squad, 2 lmg can be on same squad, but whats the point?
single lmg will never ever be able to suppress vet2 rifleman
rifleman "i win" button can suppress kch and kill them

Oh ok, my strong observation skills coming through there. Well even so, if its the same as vCoH, which i assume it is, then volks still own rifles at long range.
