I played EiR for the first time yesterday, jolly good fun. However i encounter a rather gamebreaking bug...well, gamebreaking for me at least. The Descriptions of the Units in the Core/Assault/Inf/Armor/whatever screens dont match the Units that are actually contained in them. The 2nd Case where theres no Description at all and its just some weird Strings. I didnt write it down but its something like STRINGSUNITXAS123123.
Example: I have 2 PzGen with Shreks in my Core Section, the Description says those are one Pak, one Volks and a Halftrack.
This happens with Axis aswell as Allies.
on Allies it said: 2 Rangers and a Halftrack and what i actually got was 2 Rifles.
this is rather nasty cause at the moment i cant really react to my enemy because what i get depends somewhat on luck...bite my ass when i wanted Rangers to take out a tank and got 2 bloody rifles.
Afaik somebody else also had that Problem(DonnieDark, not sure).
EDIT: I just noticed i posted in the wrong Forum, could somebody please move this to Tech Support ?

Interesting... First time I've heard of this...
Please package up the EuropeInRuins.Battle.ucs file and the EuropeInRuinsBattle.sga files and post them for my review.

languages were fixed...unless you are from a smaler country...let me look up eir language files..(i helped fldash do that) but it might be a problem with you maybe being on the wrong side...if you tried to play in coh as allies but on the launcher were axis ect. The game will work but the unit descriptions will be messed up
English, spanish, Czech, German , Polish , Russian, Italian, French...are supportede

the only other way i can think of the descritions getting messed up would be a wrong profile name...but i dont think youd be able to play than.

One thing that may have happened is your EuropeInRuins.Battle.ucs files didn't download properly and you either had old ones, or ones from a replay that it was using...

now that you mention it, after my first battle i downloaded that battle and saved it to my EiR Folder. Which would explain why it worked on my first battle and none after that. stupid me i guess

i am using the launcher. someone said to me yesterday its supposed to upgrade the needed files but havent seen any upgrade so far. think when i get home ill make a copy of the 2 files you wanted and then reinstall EiR, see if the Problem persists.

No, whenever you start a battle, it should download the battle files and stick them in the correct place for you. Which is why I didn't understand this comment: after my first battle i downloaded that battle and saved it to my EiR Folder
