Following fls new views on dropping and the offical policy i suggest something be done with the system.

Right now dropping is seen as *stay away from new players and it will never happen*

i propose we fix one of the two issues effecting a teams sucess after a player has dropped.


there are 2 effects of dropping

1)Decreased team firepower (# of units on field at once)
2)Decreased overall army size (attrition of team)

I propose something be done to eliminate number 1

lets say i am playing a 3v3 and each member of my team has 25 pop cap...now lets look at this.

that means my team has 75 pop cap (firepower) combined.
If one player dropps now my team only has 50 pop cap.

I porpose that when a teamate dropps his pop cap should be divyed up among remaining team mates...

so if 1 of the 3 players on a team drops when each player has 25 pop cap. the remaining 2 players shall get 37.5 pop cap so they can fill in the gap left by the player missing.

Notice this will help in games were a team is clearly winning only to lose by someone dropping. rule number 2 will still affect the team with the dropper and the remaining players will be out attritioned if they dont play smart.

The specifics might be a little off but on the whole I think it's an excellent idea. Smiley   I'll definitely bring this up to the dev team.

On-topic: I think your idea of splitting the popcap among remaining teammates could be cool, but I don't have enough experience to make a good judgement call.

I've dropped a couple times because of lag. And everyone thinks I'm a "soreloser" and dropped because we were losing  Tongue i hate people who make too early assumptions
