Again same resault has with any contry just magicly disapering. Why would there be anying specail about America being blow up by a Alien bomb some how stelthed so nobody can see what happens. I dought the resault would be much diffrent if any other contry suddenly disapered.

anything related to comptuer: see above
modern americans car: actually most produced in china like your military humvee (american can arent' selled in europe)

think about it for a second...you're typing english, to use one example (of many).

Now english...on an american hosted site...on an American-funded endeavor (internet)...on an American computer with parts designed from America (and if you say you go all AMD and ATI no matter what becuase they 'aren't american' then you've hit a further level of stupidity).

You're interfaced into the Internet via american-made code methods. You play games made possible by american inventors. You ogle earth from space because of american ingenuity.

You play Company of Heroes. An American game based on Americans vs nazis taking information from an American war.

You play around with American tech in GRAW, R6, Call of duty, and other military-game franchises.

You're european nations have been a huge part in funding the american-made F-35 (we will not give you the F-22).

What have euros done recently? I'm going to do it again and sound like a broken record, but there's one really big ass continent right below you europeans. Unless, of course, you are OK with things such as the bombing of the spanish subway, french rioting, threats of death to a man making a movie about muslims in the netherlands, and attempted hijacking of 9 british planes.

You're driving a vehicle improved by american technology. You outsource to china just like us, so don't start there. You're wearing clothing partially manufactured thanks to American styles and most likely produced in China. You board a space station that is mostly American, on a remote-controlled cargo craft that is based off American design (you guys called it the le mark or some other gay name like that).

Your modern equipment (civilian and military sectors) is thanks to the works of 19th and 20th century American scientists who were free to freely test their ideas in America. Your sciences have many leading American scientists. Einstein, Tesla, and many others immigrated here to develop wonderful ideas on physics due to the inability to do such in Europe (and that continues to this day, just like everything on this incomplete list. there aint enough time to write down everything.). Every half-finished european idea was fully developed in the States (telephone, for instance ) and further developed (cell phone) in teh States.

You speak English thanks to American sacrifices and you live a free life with the freedom to do mostly whatever in Europe thanks to hundreds of thousands of American sacrifices throughout history.

NOW tell me the US aint important.

I don't hate america, but i think some perspective is needed here.

yes america in WW2 sacrificed allot, due to the agression of the Axis, i agree we enjoy the freedom we have now to americans in general but also to all men and woman who fought in ww2 from all commonwealth countries and other allied nations.  My country  Australias uffred over 100k casulties in ww1 a high % of the population then,  as did allot of other european countries, when germany came at them again, there needed to be somone to fill the gap and no one was really prepared.  

But lets get some perspective, America was a european colony, vistired by spanish portuguese, french germans and english.  Her cultural traits are derived from european roots and her fundemental views on democracy are based in greek history and her military appraoches are based on french and british history.  

She is a great country, but just because you are great does not in anyway allow you to be boorish, arrogant and lord it over everyone, a truly great nation would be respectful of its peers and while have power use that power in moderation.  

I tend to think we lose sight of the fact that In Iraq aside from the non-existant WMD's that a whole civilisation was under the boot of an opressive regieme that had no quams in using heinous weapons on its own populace. I often wonder if the BUSH administration had appraoched the world community with the intent to rid the country of a tyrant that was opressing his own people and not what in reality was poor intelligence work based on hearsay and stupidity that the political will to continue in Iraq would be stronger.

IN the end it was poor politics and arrogance that got BUSH and his administration in the shit hole, and the people that suffer are those who offer thier lives for somthing other than themselves as well as the people of iraq.

I love my country, I hate my goverment, but I am still joining the US Army to serve in family tradition and honor of service to my country. Please do not confuse my service nor my fellow countrymans service with ignorance.
We serve to serve, it is above our pay grade and control what poloticians do say or beleive, we simply do what we are trained to do. I personally find a topic entitled "Why are american soldiers the best?" that has gone completly political to be insulting to dead men from all countries, they all gave their lives because they were asked to by their elected or unelected officials to do so in the name of the country to which they were born or resided in.

We can go all the way back to non-electric telephones too, which the first recorded documents lead to a Chinese inventor in 968.
