Well since most players seem to be picking allied countries (though some like the soviet union have options I think depending on what germany wants to do) Id go with an axis or neutral country. Japan or Italy would be good options for you. |

Japan is your best bet, especially if no one chooses China. You will have pretty much a free hand till the US gets involved.

2 players cant control 1 nation. Anyway I was wrong you cant be any country. The choices left for you would be. Italy Japan Poland Nationalist China |

The only problem with playing Japan when you're new is all the naval micro don't take italy there is no way to win with them :| I was able to do nicely with Italy before I lost my save file. I just about had pushed the British out of Afrika by myself. My infantry/motorized infantry were pretty upgraded and I had a significant number of tanks. |

yea I just tested it. It only lets you choose certain countries as playable. I think there is a way to mod it so you can be any but id rather leave it simple. |

First time doing this, maybe it is possible. Ok Confirmed 2 players can control one country so if anyone wants to share a country this is also possible. Also weve decided that the 1938 campaign would be better for this as there is a lot more country choices. |
