Most people are fine, there are times when we don't get along, but overall, we're a good solid community.

Not to be rude, but I think people are just getting the "General" community of the mod, not the forums.

I agree that everything is nicer in vent and in the launcher chat, but

As in the title, this is for FORUM attitudes.

I would still rate it as good. Some threads are just asking for flame wars though.

Anything that involves balance will eventually turn into pure flame. It's one of the constants in life.

Looking at the polls, it seems like we did have a general lost of positive attitude. Months ago, I would have rated the community as being very good. I'm not sure why things have been getting less civil lately. Maybe it's just a result of a larger fanbase.

Gamma, it is mostly the larger fanbase, and some....immature player from vCOH coming over and thinking they can run amok and get away with everything like in vCOH.

That would probably be the reason. The veteran players here use Vent, know each other a bit etc.

Where as people from VCoH haven't got a clue what they are doing.

It's the same with VBF2-Project Reailty

Voted 'Ok'.  Haven't had too many problems with players, but there is a reason that I don't post a whole lot when it comes to balance.

I kind of figured everyones attitude is good, though I saw some retarded stuff on vent the other night, one player was making a general statement, while another took it as if he was talking directly to him and took offense to it, it was all pretty silly to me, but it escalated pretty quick for no real reason. Remember that all the rules of respect that go on in the forums should be abided as well on vent, even more so in fact because everyone else in the channel has to listen to the non-sense (til they find the mute button)  Roll Eyes

This goes for you and anyone else:  If people are being inappropriate or breaking the ventrillo rules, please use the complaint function in Ventrillo or contact, Me, Salan, or Akranadas and we will work to resolve the issue.

On the forums, please use the "report post" link if there are posts that break the rules.  This will help Akranadas better police the forums.

That said, I find the community in general to be very welcoming.  And I wouldn't be too hasty to blame new players because in the past month I have interacted with many newbies on vent and the forums who have been perfectly friendly.  I'd say it is a minority of troublemakers that includes both veterans and newcomers.

It was over and done in a matter of minutes, but I'll keep this in mind for the future.

This becomes an issue any time there is an influx of new players. The people that genuinely care about the mod: don't worry, give it a few weeks (maybe even take a playing hiatus like me) and things will be a little more back to usual.

Outside of the occasional new idiots and a few "senior" players that lack any sense of common courtesy, the community is pretty friendly.

I also did not respond to the poll as I think it is a poor measure of the intricacies that are involved.

I voted, but I lied, I dont think it really matters what the attitude of an individuals opinion has meirt and reason behind, the only thing I hate is when one player needs to attack anothr to make himself seem smater or supeior to a fellow player.

I am not voteing. In the old times it was heaven compared to the current state, but it will get even worse the more players we get :I

You cant rate all, when there are only a few a**h***´s that make it look worse than it is.

New players have no perspective as to how far the mod has come, or from where it has come from. They don't understand, and I guess it is only fair that we shouldn't expect them to.
