I was highly interested in this, but I seriously have my doubts after what I've been hearing.  I'd really love to get into the beta forums to check out the ruckus...

I had a key, for a technical beta at first, for the general beta later, but I found myself to be majorly bored by this game. It's not dynamic at all, it's the same old grind story, it doesn't add any interesting new things that could make it worth playing it. I think games like the 3 year old Guild Wars are better than this game (which has gone gold already, poor poor paying players).

Reading the forums usually does not do you much good. A person who likes it can praise it into the heavens, the next day he gets tired of the grind, then the same person will be flaming the game to hell, this time naming bugs and failures he chose to ignore before.

I have an open beta key but I'm not that excited about trying it... A) because you are capped to level 13 and B) because everything I've been hearing is that it's the same old shit...

A lot of people bitch out that there are pvp mini games that are important enough if you want to raise pvp xp.
They argue that instanced games like capturing the flag (with a ridiculous english speaking accent dude that informs you every time you have captured the flag) dont belong to conan's universe, and i have to say i kinda agree with them.

I think having the mini-games as fine.  Awarding PvP XP for them is not.  They should be just time-wasters for when you are bored inside Conan.

Mini games come down really to what team has more spellcasters.
And people claim they were promished blood money and sieges and connan would have never went after a flag. Tongue
Its the promise of a brutal and savage world i guess.
