Territory and Owner Problem

EDIT: I figured out the problem with the ownership, but still cant figure out the problem with the territories.

I started dabbling in the map making today and I have been following the directions that are posted here.  I am however getting an error (in that the territories arent working)when trying to set up the territory and owner.  I do what the tutorial says about the HQ placements, once I select it I go to player 1 for the first one and then player 2 for the second.  What happens though is that after I do the second one, the first HQ is then set to player 2 as well.  So not sure whats up with that.

The second problem I am having is if that isnt enough, when I go to actually do the territories I turn the over lay on and then go to the TER tab and click to add territories, I get the normal msg popping up that says something along the lines of "once this is done it cant be undone (YET), etc..." I hit OK and then it tells me in another pop up that "this # of territories were created"  It doesnt do it, I see no territories displayed.  So I dont know what I am doing wrong, because as I said I am following the tutorials exactly (doing it as I watch it).

Any advice as to what is wrong would be very helpful.

1. Make sure you adjust your ownership under "current" and not under "default" in the object menu.

2. You need to add -dev to your worldbuilder.exe target line for territories to show up in the worldbuilder.

Also make sure you have all the points placed out, for EiR you can just use manpower points, then hit "calculate voronoi"

Well, I cant really say what the problem was, I did have the -dev in the shortcut.  I went back through and deleted the old shortcut and created a new one.  This time it worked, so for now Ill chalk it up to some sort of bug.

Thanks, now...to play around with it until I get the feel for it.
