I'd see it; I'm not dressing up like the chief or a marine or anything like dat. Tongue

**Edit some of the acting needs some help and Microsoft asked some guy to write a script of 1million US dollars and they sold it for 10million dollars. Fucking money suckers.

Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way round, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise.

The only problem I see with this movie is:

1. Microsoft will f*ck it up.
2.They won't try to make it good, because they think everyone will go see it because HALO!
3.Horrible acting
4.Not enough funding
5.It'll be utter shit.

The movie is dead. This video is from 3 years ago when the executive producer, Peter Jackson, used what they had already made to try to regain the support of the production companies by demonstrating a rough idea of how it would look.

Urg, you guys obviously know nothing.

The intro to that movie is fake, 100% fake.

During the time before Halo 3's release, Microsoft and Bungie employed Weta Studios to do a series of Live Action Shorts to get the hype going for not only Halo 3 release, but the prospect of a movie. The shorts themselves tell the story that leads up to the starting of Halo 3.

Watch them properly here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLdOe1jxVY4

It's all done real, and just to prove you guys wrong that it's CGI (besides Brutes and Banshee's)

Notrace is right. It's all CGI. Nice, realistic looking CGI, but CGI nontheless.

It's also fake due to the fact that Wingnut 'Films' never worked on the movie at all.  Weta Studios did.  Wingnut is involved in the Peter Jackson project.

Also, why is it bad acting, Spitfire?  If you can do better, I'd like to see your films.  Oh wait, you don't have any?  Okay then.

And Akranadas, if you want people to see videos how they're 'meant' to be seen, don't just point to another Youtube link.  Point to the sources on Bungie with HD quality.

First of all take it from me, a person obsessed with Halo, that is fanmade. The part where the marines where fighting is real, and made by that neil dude, the director of the REAL movie. The rest looks like utter shit and was made by a talented fan.

If i'm wrong, well lets not go there, because that intro was some of the worst shit I have ever seen. Using the same fugly text, and going over the planet over and fucking over again.

That was painful to watch.

Mike, the actual video after the 'intro' was not fan made.  Those were made by Blomkamp.  The intro was, however, shitty.  Better than what I could do, though.   Tongue

NoTrace, what the hell are you talking about, 'the graphics were kind of last gen', that's real video.

And to Deranged, does it being CGI make the experience any worse?  Just because it's CGI, does that mean it automatically fails?

I think if there ever is a Halo Movie, it'd be best done in CGI. especially because in the arms race shorts i saw, the best looking one and the most "authentic" to the Halo universe was the one done in CGI. I just think that you can't really get all you want in "real time"

Relevant Halo movie info, see attached image.

Image in question on my attached image is this:  http://nikon.bungie.org/images/worldcollisionsposterfuw2.jpg

There is binary coding above and on the Earth, probably put into the bright area of the image on purpose.  Tongue

I was merely agreeing with noTrace that it was CG to begin with. I never said that would make it a worse movie. In fact, I'm glad they're doing it CG-ified, because the Star Wars EpIII's Clone War battles (and EpII) were awesome, and they were all CG. So no, I don't mind.
