lol Bodybag, this wasn't about which mod is better, thats completely subjective to the player, I'm sure many people think the other COH mods are better than EIR.
But all those people are wrong (smithy17)

BoTB + EIR persistency would be quite cool if not amazing, major balance problems aside. (And a great offset for a campaign)
As for their maps, a lot of them are somewhat average still AFAIK (With the exception of some really great ones).

Botb could use the territory cap system of EiR imo

They already have it :p. Or will have anyway It's called ATC, Automatic Territory Capture I believe, was created by someone on RelicNews and put available for anyone to use in their mod. It's slightly different though as it works with actual resource points and all that.

i love botb and it has a lot of potential. The thing is what they're trying to do is use only units that were used during the battle of the buldge so any game-play elements that are unbalanced reside there.
but imo botb is a great mod and the ai uses the new untis well and the AI is actually a bit harder, they will swarm you with units and tanks if you dont watch out. I've played with the expert axis against 2 normal opponents just to test and toward the end the AI had 6 friggin KT's attacking his base i'm like wtf c'mon! lmao
as for the merging of eir & botb, i dunno...it depends. now, what i would like to see if a version of eir in botb but to take away what we have in eir now i wouldn't like it.

Did an expert 1v1 and the axis spammed MGs and set them up all in their base. This was the first release though.

the most recent release is much better http://botb.fiffa.net/index.php?topic=4.0you keep talking about the 1st version, but they're on version 2.301, I think that's a long way from original release.

Its a good mod, period. Normandy 44 is a lot more fun, and in my mind, is what coh should have been to begin with. Its an extremely realistic mod, you guys should check it out.
Eir > Normandy 44 > Vcoh > Botb

EiR and BotB would hardly work because in BotB units die like flies. It wouldn't work with persistency.

What people like about the BOTB is 1.The new doctrines 2.Skins 3.Units
What makes EIR>Other Mods is its many possible layouts.

how about BOTB + EIR instead of EIR + BOTB.
Put some elements that make eir fun into botb.

Anyone who is making a comparison about Botb without playing the newest release needs to go check out the new release. I guess I just wish that a lot of that was available in my current EIR games. I'm sure that dash will get the bug again and finish into 2.0... but man for a really really cool look at what can be done with the OF additions you NEED to check out the BotB 2.3. P.S. Fldash, forget conan or what every you went off to play... it's all about Warhammer online... closed beta = win Oh and as far as AI... I played against a standard computer and my ass was gettting WTF swarmed by m8, m10, sherman.... almost to the point where I was done for. They really made the AI agressive.

thats only because people here see vet as persistency and not the army they build..

although after thinking about it more, vet is needed as persistency or people wouldn't give two shits about their troops... hmmm makes more sense!
