I got it on Sunday and it is pretty fun. Took Monday off and now I have a creature in the space stage. It is pretty fun, although I wish the space empire was more self-sufficient rather than asking me to run around on stupid MMO-esque find and kill X creature or retrieve Y quests.

From what I've heard it is really hit and miss. You can only install the game 3 times total, even if you reinstall the game that counts as another install. I've also heard that it takes packets of information and sends it to EA, what information is unknown. You also can't remove the DRM unless you use like unblocker or something, and it is constantly running.

I started reading about DRM and I really regret buying the game, however apparently A LOT of other games use it as well. Some of which I already have so I suppose that I already had it on my computer. I read that Company of Heroes Gold has DRM on it too, may be wrong though. But about Spore, I found it fun for awhile but it's really lacking in depth. It's fun for awhile then you realize it's just a shallow game designed for children and families, which really disapointed me after watching older videos where there was actual blood and gore in the game. :/ Can't imagine how it got good reviews, i'd give it a 2/5 and a request for my money back.

I am at Civ stage and my comp hast never crashed. It isn't really a bad game. You do the same thing over again but it is still fun.

lots of things were taken out of the final build, I liked the creature stage, but tribal and civ are a joke, while space is fun again. in the earlier vids they had far more features like in the tribal stage, you could just place a spear rack and the guys would get one, now all we have are 3 kinds of weapon which all do completely different things, i mean the only melee weapon is an axe, and you can only throw the spears... spears can be used as melee and axe's can be thrown... unfortunately all games are the same nowadays, they look and sound awesome in the early vids but all the good stuff is dumbed down or cut in the real release.
