I'll make a new useless thread for all the funny wrong reasons.
1) Eir forums have come to mean crap. Theres NO FREEDOM of discussion, no possibility of debates no nothing.
2) Theres no reason to post anything significant serious because it will end up beging locked.
3) I'd rather post something concrete and worthwile for the MOD I LOVE in the coca cola forums. Because i found there, it actually has a chance to survive.
4) Im sick of seeing threads locked.
5) Im sick of seeing threads locked for YOUR stupid reasons. Do you think you own the community ? Cause this is what it comes out of it. Do you think you can decide of which topics we can discuss and what not?
If i want to talk with sach about the false morals and ideals during the WWII and it turns into a flame war, your responsibility is to clean the mess not close our ability to discuss. You wanna moderate something ? Start with yourself. Do you even know how selfish this is ?
6) Im sick of seeing people being polite about it.
7) I felt like ranting for all the above reasons.

The moderators here are HEAPS weak in what they allow to survive.
Follow the rules, and all is fine. Every thread locked on the front pages has been locked for a very good reason. They are doing a good job.

I agree with that mods should moderate not close topics. Topic is closed when discussion is closed / problem resolved.
And mostly they have last word and close the discussion without giving ability to respond.
They shouldn't be mods if they are so lazy to only close topics.

There's no dev team, there's no development happening and frankly we should be happy the community wants to stay around. Just give it a rest and only moderate when it's really needed. |

With a more liberal stance on moderating many of these problems would solve themselves or not even occur.

Oh please, I don't see any issues with those threads. When general discussion threads go off-topic, who the fuck cares? The only really time you should moderate is when racism/sexism/extreme vulgarity/etc occurs. Moderating threads because they go off-topic, have little content, have silly discussions is just unnecessary.
You weren't around for a few months, we barely had moderation back then and no one fucking died, now did they?
