I'm sure we can find a way to turn it back on if we want to.

Ofcourse, but it would probably just piss everyone off. Not too many people have actually played with it on. But I loved the games where a person would park their tiger infront of shreks or ATGs and get their ass blown. Good times, good times.

I got a good one. "Remember back in the day: Tales of Heroes". I loved that podcast, was such great fun watching it and listening to the quirps, tips, and tricks. When they stopped production I was really sad, felt like COH was done (however my interest in EiR increased). Just went over to
www.gamefire.com
and saw that they have the first season uploaded (link was bad though
) And perhaps they may comeback with the release of Tales of Valor, would be cool to see perhaps a 1 or 2 game return to podcasting, when I was a nub I learned SOOO much from them. Even advertised them in games where I played against newer players (reminisces about 1v1s) man I really really miss the old Allies vs Axis gameplay (no Brit no PE, Allies were US and Axis were Wehrmacht) I even remember people trying to figure out who the Axis title represented no one called them wehrmacht just axis. I also miss playing 1v1s on Ango, Semois, hell even Sturzdorf wasn't half bad. However I stopped playing because now all I get is WT, Langres, or St. Come Du Mont. Man has the game changed, just wow...
Not to mention the great who is better Blitz or Terror, the utter uselessness of infantry and rangers. How rare arty actually was, more mine usage (seems to have dropped in vCOH I still use them). How rare it is to see OPs now a days. Epic 2 pershing vs 2 Tigers or the Cally with its gun and no cap on the amount you could field. Hell AWM made everything and its mother come back. Crocs were really OP. Axis T4 was never around in a 1v1, Defensive was hardly ever used effectively (had a Semois strat for it that I found and used to great effect, combined OPing MU and then using registered arty to keep the enemy off your points, good fun). Ahhhh so much has changed!!

yeah, me and nick played them back to back in the 2v2 auto beta. With nick as brits and me as US and we anihilated Bridger and Rogers, and I think I noticed their interest in COH beginning to decline sadly.

remember before OF, when tank shots would not travel around or through friendly units.
How many tanks did you lose by getting rear shotted by your own AT guns .. angles of attack actually mattered.. massing tanks into small cooridors was insanely bad (bombing runs still make it that way of course, as well as trying to escape heh)..
mmm now apex can only lose his units to wierd friendly fire, like duck or die's goliaths!
Oh, my... that story on industrial heartland... that was one of the vet3 tiger aces...
I think Duck stopped playing when ff was removed.

i remember back in the day i had a company, and it got glitched so i would get full starting resources added to what i already have, i ran out of space to put my stuff, it was epic, i had like 60 grens all upgraded each with a schrek and lmg, and i had like 8 kt's and like 20 paks, and like 40 mg's and mortors, to bad they erased my company at the beginning of a war

I remember once on the bottom of Montherme by the building complex. Can't remember exactly who it was but I believe it was unknown, skunker and torjado each with a P4 or stug simultaneously tried to squeeze through a gap little more than one tank traps' width only to find ATGs and mines a tank length past the choke. Imagine the vent screaming when they tried to get back out through the choke.

Oh Montherm my battlefield of choice.
One epic moment was when i blow up a bridge, killing 3 of unkn0wns units and then he repaired it while I had a engy on the other side already waiting with the next demo.
Since that day he never played montherm vs me again

The new version lagged like hell for everyone, probably due to too much detail or something...
Never got it working again.
I miss Rabengut.

that reminds me....repair bunks dont stack for a single person anymore do they....
Now if only someone can find the picture of the game with 13 repair bunks that ended up being the final straw leading to bunk nerfage

EiR Alpha, company resources increasing per game with no limit, Tiger Aces.
I remember I had 3 of them at vet 3. I think Lai had 5. Still we both lost against Stumpsters 250 Riflemen squads company.
You're drunk, APEX. Five vet 3 tiger aces?!?!?! At the most I had two tiger aces at the same time and only two ever with vet 3. And I never lost a game where I had a tiger ace.
