Go and try it, now, be agressive agains those 3 with few arty support on lambert and lets see what happens.

First of all, I play Airborne most of the time on offensive games and I always land deep behind enemy lines. In fact, set ups like this favours my assault as I have plenty of nades and satchels to blow them up.

What would you have done? rushed the city with the pak spam + ferocity  schrecks lol?

I would have dropped airborne in? Or made sure I got arty for situations like this??? OR NOT PLAY LAMBERT AT ALL? With that amount of stack?

See our pop cap before saying "they could have done better witn infantry support".

I don't have to look at your pop cap. You had infantry around the field not supporting the tank in the advance. Hell even one rifle squad is better than nothing.

wtf man... we canīt know what they .. would you send a pershing and some rifles into the fog of war just like that?

Thats the truth about attacking. You got to take risks at times. You also have to count the units destroyed and evaluate the situation. Personally, if I was playing, I would have took the risk and pushed inwards because with a damaged engine tiger retreating with its butt towards you and plenty of support around? Why not? You're on the road as well which allows you to retreat rapidly plus you have moved up and down on that road quite a few times. There are no mines.

Nearly 120 pop cap vs around 60, sure itīs so easy to counter... especially with vet 3 kchs...

Yes. Its called having HMGs... which most of it was wiped out at the start of the game by artillery.

I don't see the point in your indignation when you guys were clearly outplayed and when better players could have done something else. For lack of a better term, its quite stacked against you.

Well, the one with the Airborne spam was interesting...but watching it you could easily see who was going to win when the Allies didn't even bother capturing territory for the first part of the game.  The second game seemed to have a lot of players that didn't want it shoutcasted...and the ingame chat was a little distracting to say the least.  Tongue

Nice game on Vengeance, this time a bit longer than last time.

Replay Name: Graveyard

Map Name: Tanteville

Battle Number: 7613

Participating:

84th Infantry (saint83)
34th Airborne (iherduliekmudkips)
426th Armour (Tankspirit)

362nd Blitzkrieg (APEX)
556th Terror (LtDomingoChavez)
667th Blitzkrieg (MorkaAndBorka)

Description:

Axis attack the allied defenses head on and get slaughtered. A tough fight for the southern town ensues, with dozens of infantry troops getting thrown into to the meat grinder of urban combat. Buildings change hands constantly but the axis gain little ground. Switching focus to the northern fields, the axis manage to break through the allied line. They respond with a big armored counterattack, escalating into a battle with 10+ tanks. Afterwards the allies hole up in the southern town, the axis manage to cut them off and surround them, resulting in annihilation. Good game, fun map, worth a shoutcast.

Something that has nothing to do with this thread, because it was not used. Period.
