Just a few quick changes, to reflect the large number of new players coming to play EIR.

Welcome!

  • CPs per day have changed to be a max of 9 instead of 7.
  • CPs per battle, regardless of a win or loss, are 3CP per game

Enjoy

Shit I'm pretty sure you could offer the guy a cup of coffee and he'd try to kill you with the mug if you forgot sugar.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Thanks DasNoob,

The intention was to make any game (regardless of who your opponents are) attractive to new players, which we have an influx of atm.

I completely agree.  I know Apex had a thread going with some ideas along those lines... we should never punish people for playing!  You probably have seen it, but he has some strong arguments for taking away vet loss on losing players too.

Thx, returning players such as myself appreciate it too Smiley makes it that bit easier to catch up with the fully tiered and vetted players.

I don't know if there's any issue with the CP gain though, because:

Recieved 50 CP.
Recieved 25 RB.
Recieved 3 CP and 1.5 RB for an attack victory.
Recieved 2 CP and 1.5 RB for an attack victory.
Recieved 1 CP and 0.5 RB for a loss.
Recieved 1 CP and 0.5 RB for a loss.
Day finished with 57 CP and 29 RB. (Day 25)

I've currently 2+14+17+22 CPs = 55 CPs

Anyways I'll play another game if it's available and see if I can get any CPs. Cheers.

yes, take away vet loss. i understand gaining from winning but losing vet some losing is just ridiculous and it's a punishment for losing.

At least make it neutral. You dont gain but u dont lose.

Just completed another game, got the RBs for it, but no CPs. That puts me down 2 CPs earlier (which was before the CP patch, but hit limit of 7 so makes sense) and 3 CPs from after this game Sad

Is there a certain time I have to wait until the CP gain is reset?

(Day 25)
Recieved 50 CP.
Recieved 25 RB.
Recieved 3 CP and 1.5 RB for an attack victory.
Recieved 2 CP and 1.5 RB for an attack victory.
Recieved 0 CP and 1.5 RB for an attack victory. <- latest game after ur post
Recieved 1 CP and 0.5 RB for a loss.
Recieved 1 CP and 0.5 RB for a loss.
Day finished with 57 CP and 30.5 RB.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

The 3 CPs from attack victory I got from an earlier game. If you compare my pre-CP gain patch post with the one I just posted the latest line was the attack victory with 0 CPs gained.

I just wanna know if there's some explanation for me getting 0 for it or whether something isn't working =[

Indeed nice one Tongue

Don't take away the vet loss or vet gain. Vet Gain critical to the immersion and sense of achievement and progress in the game.
And vet loss gives risk and makes vet worthwile.

Seriously i find this idea BAD :p.

Can you guys propose ideas on how vet be less significant instead, like toning it down CONSIDERABLY to have an effect if you think its such a problem.
Or tone down the doctrine abilities responsible for a lot of the problems in balance.

Taking away the risk to this game, is like pvping in mmos without any penalties. Completely out of reality, non competitive and boring.
Its been discussed before.

I agree about the Vet lost and Vet Gain, it should remain the same. This allows the player to play with heart, instead of such throwing units out there on the battlefield and not caring whether Vet is gained or lost.

I think this is a bad idea as well.

i never said take away vet gain, but the vet loss makes it hard for new players. just make it neutral. the guys still fought in the battle, they shouldnt' lose xp from losing. cuz t hey still fought.

i've gianed up to 100xp on a unit and then lost all of it and even went negative cuz i lost

Then your units had already around 900 when you started, factoring a 10% loss.
What more would you wan't, you were likely on vet 3 already.

It does make realistic sense that soldiers lose XP from losing battles, actually. Part of everything is mental, and a soldier who notices that his company consistently loses battles is going to lose confidence in his commander, comrades, and self, which would affect his soldiering.

But more importantly, Gameplay > Realism. Toning down the vet loss is OK, but it is still needed to create a saturation point for some of the super vetted companies. Remember Draken and my 20k+ vet companies? It helps prevent stuff like that. I could have dropped on top of ostwind/puma spam with that company and still won, the vet was so atrocious.

Anyway, if its really an issue, go infantry and get core beliefs. Best T2 in the game.

OR you know... cause they died. That leads to xp lose, too.
