Hey, so probelm was that i was getting a fatal scar error so the game wouldnt work unless i dropped, so someone said i should deinstall and reinstall the EIR mod, well did that and now when i open the launcher it says
"There are two files missing or out of date"
yes/no
"Then cannot update mod, please close COH and try again"
Ive been able to play for the past few weeks without a probelm.... need help or ideas if any..

You either have Company of heroes running, or need to reset as those files are being locked somehow.

Are you running vista? If so make sure your launcher has admin UAC access.
Also is your EiR folder Read only? If so be sure to change it.
Do you have Corsix mod studio up? IF so close it.
if this doesn't work try deleting all the files from your EiR/archives folder and allow the launcher to redownload them.

Yes No, but made sure Tried and still missing 2 files EDIT: ALso it comes up with error 13....just looking around the forum but havent found any answers to what error 13 actually was I am able to play VCOH but iu dont wanna |

Do you have any firewalls running? Turn them off, they might be preventing the launcher from downloading those files.
(Windows firewall, panda, norton, AVG, McC check them all)

have you run the launcher to patch the game, could be that you have the wrong version.
lots of the new people had a hard time patching at first.

i have the right version, ive dl it straight from the forum link and ive played before so patching up eith vcoh wasnt a problem
WHen i play eir i turn my firwall off..................
originaly i was gettingv a code 13 whioch i checked and i just had to run eir as admin now i just get a scar error and i cant get the console to come down to get a screeshot

No i am not i use th launcher to start the program, ive noticeed however that when i uninstall and reinstall i can pplay a game however for the 2nd game i get a fatal scar error and again i can gvet a screen shot of it

Do you restart the launcher and exit Company of heroes before the you start the second game?

yes of course is that what im ment to do, the launcher closes after a game is played and then i exit COH open up Launcher and look for a game and then scar error

This is a problem with one or multiple player's battlefiles. First thing to do here is pretty simple, try redownloading the battle files and see if it solves the problem. If the problem persists, the battle files might not have been extracted properly. In most cases, this is a vista problem. You need to make sure the EiR Launcher is run on administrator settings. For further info relating to EiR & Vista, see this guide: http://forums.europeinruins.com/index.php/topic,1303.0.html (Note, the guide is slightly outdated Smiley) (Taking from troubleshooter.) Try turning off your UAC completely (in control panel). After downloading new battle files, go look into your europe in ruins/archives folder and make sure the battlefiles there are 'new'. (Check last edited time, etc) |
