I'm worried that the Snub nosed panzer tank is going to dominate the battlefield by eliminating the effectiveness of veteran 3 allied infantry. A veteran snub panzer would eat alive any amount of vet 3 infantry when locked down. I'm proposing a close inspection on this particular tank because I feel that this tank may take the fun out of the game. I am a noob but I know enough about EIR to know that the battlefield is littered mostly by infantry units so this tank brings some concern to me. The other tanks in OF don't concern me as much as this snub panzer.

it has shorter range than most allied tanks. It will die to: ATGs, Tetrarchs, Stuarts, Fireflys, Shermans, M10s, Heavy Artillery.... Lockdown immobilies it for some time. THats easy prey.

Lockdown is really tricky to use. Because, like in vCoH, if you find yourself in trouble it takes quite a while to 'unlockdown' and move again. That said, I am going to be watching the newer units closely when it comes to balance.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

also, with one of those on the field, no one would be stupid enough to bring their infantry near it and just pop it with at guns and tanks. m10's would prolly pwnw it, and ef pershings and shermans, and other tanks.

I think the best way to describe EiR:R balance (and CoH balance in general) is to think of it as a Rubber Band.
Everytime you think X unit is way to powerful, suddenly it can snaps back into the original shape due to it just preforming well due to dice rolls.

I hear these things called AT Guns are great against tanks.

They also don't have snub PVI to fight against. Besides, they're supposed to be mobile so where given the Marader (The Panzer Elite ATG!!!).

A tank that wipes out all your infantry? Kinda like the croc? Might be a problem.

Especially since it is outranged by RRs and can't do decent damage to them unless in lockdown ^^.

Heh. It's about time Allies got a taste of their own medicine, eh? @ Myst Naturally, as in vCoH, PE don't have walking ATG's like the 57mm and Pak...but they have more than enough to make up for it.

yeah...i'd rather have a mardur than 57mm at gun, even t hough marder has shorter range, its more mobile and more immune to infantry and is a lot b etter at turning to engage tanks. also, tank busters in inf HT's are nice. PE aren't totally useless

I'm worried that the Snub nosed panzer tank is going to dominate the battlefield by eliminating the effectiveness of veteran 3 allied infantry. Don't need to look very far. My vet 3 german steel panzer 4 with skirts does exactly that. And can shoot tanks. And can move. Just doesn't fire as fast. Takes 20 + RR hits from vet 3 airborne before even thinking about heading back to the repair bunker. Anyways even right now in vanilla EiR I lean towards using ATGs for real anti-tank work, with AT infantry as backup and chasing.
