Ok I am working on a project to bring more of the Vcoh maps to the EIR community, through this we will have a lot more maps for the community to use.

But, I am not a mapper by any means so I have a problem.

I unpacked, opened and edited mcgechaens war.  I moved and erased the starting points and spawning locations, then added in 6 new ones, designated them each player 1 thru 6, generated the territory under them and attempted to save.

I got a message saying something about a side having more players on it then the other and that I was to consult team dialog.

What the hell is the team dialog?  Being a VCoH map could it have scar coding somewhere I am missing?

once i get this map done I will be reworking a lot of the maps for our spectacular use!

Oi mapping aid directory, howd I miss this one..

anyways, anyone have any suggestions? mappers?

Usually the odd number of players message means one HQ is assigned to 'world' or something like that. Make sure you dessignate the players under 'current' and not under 'default' menu.

Also the 'Add territory under new Points' function seems to work not correctly for 'starting_positions' (HQs).

At least, when I tried to put a HQ in an already existing sector, it said '0 new points processed'.

Maybe try to delete the HQs, replace them with manpower points, add new territory under points, draw the sectors, delete the manpower points and replace them with new HQs.

Not sure if this will help though...

I'll give it a whirl, and I did make sure they were not the default world/player startings.  will try the rest.  Thx
