This is why I tell pauli that his tiger loses games, when you are afraid of losing the unit you are not playing 100%

This.

We got out played.

But... Allied snipers are OP. With the current vet the axis have no real counters.

Actually at the current point in time, allies don't have real counters to axis snipers either. They don't have cloak-revealing recon runs, 56% dodge chance vet 2 allied snipers, scouting 2x hp jeeps, 2x fire rate artillery or 20% discounted snipers any more. The jeep is a little better than the bike but with support units both are quite poor at anti-sniper duty.

An ami sniper or a wehr sniper not having to worry about a counter-sniper can wreck havoc on the other team.

Got to watch this replay though; but I'm guessing axis didn't have enough pop cap to pop out the Tiger Aces. If they can allies will be hard pressed to field enough AT to handle even 1.

I disagree with this though. Just get 3 jeeps/bikes. Keep a 4th one with a volks/rifle as a spare call in if he has 2 snipers.

Economical, efficient. If you can't kill the sniper with 3 bikes/jeeps on his ass I don't know what to say.

You can't always, if his sniper stays near a building and just garrison...

If the sniper is alone or with very little support yes. With support and especially with a building nearby, sniper still has a good chance of escaping.

Oi stop theorycrafting and play leh, long time no see you on EiR!

What makes you think all my postings so far are theory crafting?  Tongue

Yes with support, undoubtedly it is harder to kill a sniper and the presence of buildings allows them easy escape... At least bikes/jeeps cannot be suppressed and if you bum rush properly... most snipers are dead ducks.

With scores like that you really have to ask if youre commiting on winning or are you here just to gain and preserve vet. Of course with a vet 3 tiger ace thats kinda out of the question.
I know what velocity do if he lose it. Tongue

31st is right, 3 bikes/ jeeps can kill the sniper especially if he overstress it.

also, if the axis sniper in the middle of the map was awake, he could've shot at killers vet3 and brads vet2 sniper a few times but instead just sat there letting an mg42 die.

It was my sniper and if you watch the replay and look what i write in chat maybe you understand why it didnt do much.

I got problems with bikes, trucks my screen turns black when im near them and at that point it feelt like they were everywere :S

But we played bad and they play good. But i cant say that my problem helped us.

(Thats one of the reasons i dont play as allied, what if someone decides to bring out a couple of bikes? Should i just ask the axis team to take em off?)

Got some practice in last night about those tiger aces.

Tiger ace and a KT later, my command tank is ready to guide my hunts again.

One problem is that when you field a firefly + command tank you are fielding 17 pop to counter a unit which can basically take on everything in your army and win. You cant send your firefly to kill paks, shreked grens or mortars. The ACE however doesnt have units whch it cant target or destroy.

Thats because the Firefly serves a differnet purpose.

The firefly can, however, defeat a Tiger Ace.  Hence why I field it.

After all, I still have 23 pop remaining, I can have quite a bit of support in that, sometimes even arty to clear out pesky entrenched enemies.  The Firefly is a dedicated tank-hunter, and I use it for that purpose, not to take on an army.  My supporting units can act as a stopgap in that regard, because I can be content in knowing that armor won't come near my line while I hunt it (fear of brens mixed with a fear of the mighty 17) and infantry won't last particularly long either.  It's a simple tank-hunter setup.  Earlygame, I can coordinate with my allies to be sure that the firefly is properly protected, using infantry screens and other similar tactics.
